Headlights

So, my driver's side headlight has been dim for quite a bit. I bought new headlights (sonars) and an HID kit, and now the low beam just flickers on and dies off. I plug the entire unit into the passenger's side outlet, and it works fine.

Any guesses as to what is wrong with my driver's side headlight?

It might be the harness. Replacement for that shouldnt cost too much. Less than $30 tops.

it might be, but my brother replaced it two years ago- I'm not sure how good of a job he did. I checked his soldering job and his connection, and it seemed decent at best.
I actually have the same problem...

My drivers side will only work when its cold for some reason, or sometimes randomly it will be out while im driving and when I flicker the high beam it'll turn on... I've been trying to fix the problem for awhile now and can't seem to find whats wrong with it. I have 6000k hids and I've changed the balast twice on the drivers side... the first time it fixed the problem for about 6 months, and the second time it didn't do shit it just basically worked when it wanted to up until now...:uh:

I'll replace the wiring harness, and have my mechanic do it professionally. I'll let you know the results. $10 for wiring harness, maybe $15 of work (depending on your relationship with your mechanic) = Problem solved, hopefully.
