So I'm getting two red LED bulbs for my tail lights. These bulbs are just to replace the brake lights, not the turn signals. They're 1157's. Is there anything I need to do to replace these or is it just plug n play? Do I need to buy anything else? Specific parts please. Thanks.

A friend said I needed a resistor. Do I need one (or 2) of those?

shouldn't. a "resistor" is really vague. if you mean load resistor, that is usually only needed for turn signals.

if you don't like our answers why ask the question?

The load resistors are for turn signals. I have LED's for my reverse lights and LED's for my front turn signals. Only needed the resistors for the turn signals. Read SCAR's thread about LED Switchback bumper lights, explains what the resistors are used for.

How did u install these without a bulb socket ? the tails
You need to splice the black wire from the housing to the black wire in the harness, and the orange wire from the housing to the green/white wire in the housing. That will make them come on with parking lights.
