I got an H3 HID kit for a great price and I want to put the HIDs in my foglights, will they fit in the stock foglights for an 01 GT, or will I have to buy some sort of aftermarket foglights to put the longer bulbs in?

Well, they're only my foglights, like I said... but I'm more concerned with fitment issues before I order them.

Like Bitter said you are going to blind the shit out of people. If you want them to fit your going to have to fab up inserts and the housing. Then your going to have to find a way to squeeze projectors in there and mount them securely. Basically its going to cost you more then the actual HID's.

Hmm, alright, thanks. But I still don't think the fogs would blind anybody, just by the way they aim it never goes up very high.

No... I have 6500k HID headlights in DEPO projectors.

Anyways, yeah they can fit if you have the time and money to fabricate them to fit longer bulbs. Just get some 4" projector fogs and put them in there. Make sure to get the right ones to fit those bulbs though.

Thanks buddy, do you realize the 3k fogs will be brighter than the 6500 heads, or do you not know anything about the kelvin scale?

actually 3K will be alot more yellow than the headlights.

Either way he is going to have to completely fabricate the inside of the foglights IF he can even find a projector small enough to fit in there. Starting price for projectors are around $100, then your going to have to fiberglass which if you dont know how they are going to take you up the ass. All in all its going to cost you at the minumum $200 just to fab up the housings if possible. Just sell them on ebay and get xenon "HID" bulbs.

Actually its just yellow not brighter. Yellow cuts through fog/rain bighter hence why stock lights are yellowish tint.

Im pretty sure you mean Xenon bulbs. For a true HID fog setup you need projectors fabricated in there. If a lot of people are putting them in they are probably putting them in wrong and killing their output since theres no projectors to aim the light.

I know its possible it just sounds like he wants to do it himself which is going to be a challange if he doesnt know what hes doing.

Can you try not using Xenon intertwined with HID. You can get Xenon bulbs that are a replacement right at any car place. HID is alot brighter and uses an arc, where the xenon still uses a filament.

You can put HID's in foglights, its all over the forumns. Yes a projector would be nice, but sorry do most cars have factory fog light projectors.
