Ok so I have a Sporty 2002 White Pearl GS pretty much stock as far as all performance goes except an after market muffler. Some piece of piping fell of and I don't know what to do. I called up my shop but they say they can't do anything if they can't see it, but I don't know if I should drive like this.
This is where it's supposed to be.

And this is what its doing.

Is there anything like silicone or duct tape or just any type of household thing I could use to put it back up until I get to a shop and drain my wallet just getting a 2 minute fix?

And just get it put back on?
You could get it put back on if you really think you need it. I wouldn't.
Really? You don't need it? What would an affect be if I didn't, like the heat could cause what? That or what if a rock bounces up and hits the pipe?
If those are issues that concern you, have it put back on.
All after-market exhausts do not have heat shields, so the excess heat you produce by not having that shield on there isn't going to affect much. I'm sure your stock exhaust can handle rocks hitting it, too. I would just take it off.
Just don't park right over top any high grass after racing your car around for over an hour after having a month long drought. You could catch the grass on fire. But what are the chances of that happening.
Ya I get it, sounds good and I am relieved. My thoughts were just that metal is weaker when hot so I thought a rock could break through it at a high enough speed. Thanks everyone.

DOn't worry about it and take it off already!!
Ha I would have but it's been pouring and I don't want to work in the mud.
