i love starved rock, but i don't know if some of the guys want to travel that farstarved rock allows booze between certain dates in the summer. plus theres some fun twisty roadsand some cool trails to hike (if you're into that)
shit son, thats like an hour or 90 minutes from me, a whole 1/4 tank there and another back. theres a part of 71 that goes down by the river which is an absolute BLAST to drive:metal:i love starved rock, but i don't know if some of the guys want to travel that far
i'll see if i can talk to the TGC guys to changing thisStarved rock would be a fantastic place for a meet and BBQ.
Is 71 part of the park? From the looks of the map it appears to be, are there issues with spirited driving on it?shit son, thats like an hour or 90 minutes from me, a whole 1/4 tank there and another back. theres a part of 71 that goes down by the river which is an absolute BLAST to drive:metal:

you can take 71 to 23 back to 80 to leave btw, its a fun drive on 71. i usually drive the 1st part 2 or 3 times when i'm out there.
x2i've never had a problem, i always hear motorcycles tearing it up as well. theres really nowhere for a cop to sit in the twisties. i think if we're going to run it we need to set it up, someone goes down, parks, we get a call from them, then the next goes, calls, next goes, calls. that way we dont have a slow car ruin it for those who want to drive it fast.
its away from the main office, theres a couple trails that pass near it, i doubt we'd have much of a problem AS LONG AS no one is acting like an ass and blasting down it at top speed. its a nice spirited drive, but dont be a moron and take it at 60.
