I just got some Alpine Type-S 6.5's for my doors, but they don't fit! Any ideas on how to get it to fit? It seems to be too small. I've had ideas of making a ring out of MDF to fit into the existing holes, then drill the speaker into the new MDF ring, but is there anything I can do besides that?

Use the stock brackets, mine were stuck on the stocker speakers.

I got these literally off the wall at best buy, so I got a deal on them, and maybe I'm actually missing the brackets?

Correct. Remove factory speaker, and mount aftermarket speaker. The bracket is there - without it, the factory speaker would never mount.

I bought those a long time ago and they sucked. Didn't even fit around the speaker itself. I was trying to install some JLAudio 650 Txi. I ended up buying some Infinity 6012. Perfect fit. Those front door speakers are actually along the lines of oversized 6.5s or 6.75s.
