advance auto has the wrinkle paint
Wait a minute.. I don't follow.Hello All,
I bought a 3-gauge pod for my Stratus and nee dto mold it to the stock pillar....with fiberglass, j.b. weld, bondo, etc. Anyhow, once it is finished, I want it to look like factory, with a "wrinkle" black finish. Where can I get paint to match my black interior, and still have a stock look? I am willing to remove and paint the other pillar if it's not exact, but want to to have a stock look. What do you guys suggest?
:agreed:Wait a minute.. I don't follow.
Those things are black and wrinkled to begin with. Pull off your OEM pillar and replace with the new pillar.
I can match any color.
He has one of those ebay pods that you have to screw into the stock pillars.Wait a minute.. I don't follow.

That's why, its glowshift.I have the triple pod that came from glowshift. I was told that the Stratus and Eclipse share the same pillar, but the fitment is horrible. Also, the finish on the pod is a gloss black wrinkle where the stock pillars are semi-gloss or flat. I trimmed the triple pod and used jb weld to attach it to my stock pillar. Now I want to blend it to the stock pillar and paint it to match the interior. Very clean look like evrything else on my ride.
If I decided to send it out, I would probably then get it painted Ice Silver to match my exterior. Just a thought, how much would you esitmate to blend/paint the left and right pillars factory silver? PM me and maybe we can work something out. Also curoius what the turnaround on a job like this is.
