My company is hiring heavy equipment mechanics in my department. I started out making 49k a year and pay is hourly. some machinery experience is a plus, but you could be considered with a decent amount of mechanic experience in any field. I work for Empire Machinery ( caterpillar dealership) and the location is in the Deer Valley rental department.

Link to interest form. Pm if you fill it out and are interested in relocating to arizona, I know of 3 open positions so none have been filled.

I know its tough looking for a job out there but the economy here in AZ is doing pretty damn good so its something to consider for you midwestern folks.

 Obviously not spam and a goodwill gesture to us.. lounge or not, lay off.
Cat Mechanics work on big shit! :agreed:
I am actually interested. I am a pretty good mechanic and understand diesel engines pretty well. What are the benefits like? Will they help with the relocation costs? I am serious.
when i get home tonight I'll do a write up about the company, I'm at work right now but there is alot of information I could give. I've been with the company almost three years and have gone from when i started at empire making 28k a year, to three years later making almost 50k. the oppertunities are endless!
thanks for posting this up on the boards. :yesway:

I started with the company 3 years ago in the parts department making 28k. then I got the position I wanted when i was origionally hired about a year and half after I started in the rental department as a mechanic at around 49k a year. sorry for not being so clear, but I was just illustrating how fast you can move up in the company. there are DOZENS of departments to choose from and they dont care about people switching departments through the company providing you meet the requirements...and havnt been written up.

the son of the owner of drill tech based out of chino valley works for empire up in prescott as a GCS mechanic. kids only 20 and makes as much as I do.
eh, I'm going to stay in the shop for a few more years and get some more classes done so I can get on a field service truck.
$49k/yr? How the fuck do you live with yourself offering up this shit salary? How the fuck is that supposed to keep anyone afloat? I haven't made that much of a shitty salary since I was 12. Hell I probably shoot $49k/yr worth of jizz into a fucking tube sock every year.

Other than that, fuck it. Sounds like it's a good deal hauling diapers around on a forklift.
my wife also makes 35k a year on top of my pay so we are actually doing pretty good.
thats cool man you should go to firebird tommorrow after noon im on my days off right now and i feel like letting my car loose
I work the second shift and I dont get off untill 12:30am-ish, when i switch to days I'll have more of a life and actually be able to do shit with the guys in the new desert diamonds.
thanks guys, I'm just trying to help out some of the people on here because I'm hearing how things are getting to be out there. ESPECIALLY in the flooded regions of the Midwest, and areas where the economy has taken a shit.
Moving to regional forums and cleaning up this thread, because I can think of someone awesome for these jobs!
To both Agent and AZSR... Joey (member name oro here on the boards) has been looking for a good paying job in and around his area (he's in Tempe). He's been a mechanic/service advisor/sales/pretty much everything else. He's got his degree from UTI, a bunch of certs, etc., etc.

Mind giving him a PM with some job info?! He's an AWESOME guy, very dependable, very hard working, very intelligent! He'd totally appreciate a PM! (or, I'll prob call him at lunch and tell about about this thread and send him your way)

Thanks for making this thread!

This isn't to bash, but rather provide information for somebody considering this. That comes out to under $14 an hour with no overtime pay at 100 hours a week and $70K a year for some very tough work. Also, I have worked close to 100 hours a week over and extended period (more then a year) and it really starts to wear on you... especially if you are not by yourself (spouse and kids or what not.)
