If you choose to ignore this, don't see it, skip it, saying it takes too much of your time to look through, or you were looking for a quick answer, too bad. This place was built off of the collective effort of many, many others before you, and you really need to realize that before you post. If you can't respect their work by honoring them by simply reading and searching before you post, you are going to be in for a very rough time here.

This is a conglomeration of all the rules/announcements threads in here, and will be used to capture all of those thoughts into this one thread.

For you regular members, take note of this first and foremost.

Heretofore, you good hearted folks who answer questions in here for topics that are clearly outlined everywhere as to them being in the wrong forum will be penalized for contributing to the insane amounts of redundancy in forum specific searches--if you choose to answer them.

There is no excuse, rationale, reason, or distribution of logic that can be applied to some people who either brazenly, or through the sheer lack of basic reading skills choose to not follow the all the guidelines set forth as to where to ask what.

And pay particular attention to this.

The most simple solution to a redundant question is silence. If no one answers, nothing will happen with it; and I, or the moderating team will deal with it accordingly. By you answering it; it perpetuates a ever-growing cluster of search uselessness, so don't do it anymore. There is no need for it.

This forum is not OT. Saying that, OT behavior will not be tolerated in here. If you have nothing constructive to add to a post in this car specific forum, shut the hell up. People in here are looking for car advice, not insults, or really bad jokes that have nothing to do with car performance.

This is your warning. Abide by what I say, or you won't be posting anymore, I don't care who you are.

And finally for all of you folks, especially the ones who are new to the forums; read this.

Forum Description said:
All RS/GS performance discussion here...
that means specifically, performance discussion, that's it, not which exhaust would sound best on my car, not I think my car alarm is broken what do I do, not will a GT radiator fit my GS, not headlight bulb discussion, not what do I need to do to win a race, not which battery cables do I use for my car, not what size are my fog-lights, not will a 2G wing fit my car, not which intake is best for my car, not which springs do I use, not my car is broken what do I do, not what parts make up a CAI, not how do I deal with custom seat cover installations, not what paint job looks best on my car, not I need some advice about body work, not what are free or cheap mods for my car, or the paint is going bad on my car what do I do, not which exhaust is best for my car, not I want to buy an alarm what do you think, not what do I need to do a brake swap, not my seat-belt rattles what can I do to fix it, not what about car stereo parts, not about HID headlights, not is this company that sells X part any good, not should I buy an intake or exhaust first, not what do you think about this body kit, not where do you find wind splitters; none of that. Just performance discussion.

Before you ask your question, take this in: This forum has been here for over ten years, most any and everything has been answered, and can be found using the search. So unless you have developed cold fission to run the 3G, you can be certain your question has been asked, and answered before.

This forum is built upon stored performance knowledge regarding the 3G, specifically the RS/GS platform. This isn't a place to ask how you should spend your money, what needs to be done to make my car faster, what is the best way to do "X", is a turbo or supercharger better? This forum is an advanced forum, not a forum like the New Members forum where basic questions such as those are asked.

If your car has some type of FI, this isn't the forum to ask in, this one is. Or, choose to use the RS/GS FI FAQ

If you want to talk about bulbs, paintjobs, wings, etc, use this link.

If you want to talk about, your car problems codes your car is throwing, or if it's not running right, something is broken, use this link.

If you want to talk about your wheels, your tires, your brakes, or your suspension, use this link

If you want to sell or buy something for your car, use this link.

If you want to discuss a part you bought, or you would like to see other opinions about parts or services, use this link.

If you are a new member, I highly suggest using this forum there are links in that forum to answer the most basic of questions from how the forum software works, to how to post a picture, it's in there.

Now, this again is to new members, this forum, and all other forums has thousands, upon thousands of questions you might want to ask, already answered. It does no one any good by you asking which intake is better, or what is a good exhaust for my car, or which part is the best, X or Y, or will this void my warranty? when it has already been answered before. Nor is this the forum to ask what to do next, because like everything else, it's all been answered before.

Having read all of that, don't dare make a thread in here going against all these guidelines because you wanted a new answer, there's no possible reason to make a new thread in here because you couldn't find the answer. If you use the search and find an answer to your issue, but still have further issues-simply ask in the thread you found; that in turn makes that specific thread more relevant the next time a person has to use the search for an answer. If you can't find an answer, then use the New Members Forum to ask your question in.

This is the SEARCH feature, use it, this should realistically address all your questions, in the event that you cannot find an answer to your question, select from the correct forum you want to ask your question in.

This is the F.A.Q. about your 3G, use it, it's there to help you.

And one thing that needs to be reiterated here:

THIS IS NOT THE PROBLEM REPORTS FORUM

This forum is for the performance discussion regarding the RS/GS platform. That does not include problems your car may be having.

This forum is not the place to discuss noises, issues, creaks, leaks, dashboard idiot lights, groans, misfires, thrown codes, rattles, general racket or other annoyances you may be facing with your car, as those fall under the category of problems not performance.

Simply look at the title of the forums before you think about posting in here, if you can insert the word problem in what you are trying to discuss with your car, it doesn't belong in here, as this is the performance forum. That is very clear, it is an inescapable fact, and is without room for discussion.
