We are filming a pilot episode for a new car show in Freeport, Long Island on August 18th and I was wondering whether you could help me find a kick ass Mitsubishi Eclipse to feature?
The premise of the pilot is simple – a local mechanic who is only into power has recruited help from an out of state mechanic who is all about design. In the series proper they’ll be turning scrap-cars into amazing hot-rods and other cool customizations but for the pilot we don’t have enough time nor money to make a real transformation.
The Freeport mechanic has an old Mitsubishi Eclipse that we’ll be able to cut up and use as the ‘before’ vehicle, but we need to find an amazing model of this car that can illustrate the ‘after’ vehicle. (The pilot is more about showing off our two mechanics personalities and how they work together, rather than their mechanical / design talents.)
I’m happy to chat anytime if you have any questions, and we will be able to pay the owner of the Eclipse for his time (not a huge amount though as the budget is very tight) but it would involve 1 or 2 hours on Monday 18th in Freeport – and they would get to keep a copy of the pilot and their cars starring role. (Not much in know – but it would be fun and something out of the ordinary I guess?) Also, only the owner will be driving the car.
The kind of car we would be looking to feature would be something like Damian’s, as featured here: New York City Club DSM - Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser, Galant VR-4, Diamond Star Motors, DSM
