I was taking off suspension on my 03 eclipse and when I broke that big bolt connecting the strut to the knuckle, it didn’t just break the bolt. I broke the bolt and the thing that connects it. If you look at the photo, the rubber part of the strut didn’t come off with it so when I took that off, the metal didn’t come with it. Now it’s too fat to fit the strut, so I’ll order a new part but I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ITS CALLED. Someone please help my car has been on jacks for a week 🙏

I have a sneaking suspicion that it's part of the knuckle assembly, but since they are a discontinued item, it's hard to verify. But yeah, just take a dremel with a cutting wheel to it and go along the length. Go lightly and use a chisel when you are close to break it open and it will be off in no time. Or you could always check a junk yard.
