i never use the iridiums anymore. sure they last longer but cheaper cooper plugs fire alot better. they just dont last as long.

i have never heard of these lasers. ever since i installed the zex kit i have ran zex plugs with no problems.
they are ngk laser iridums. most expensive plugs at my work. i drove the car around the block today about 2 weeks after a complete engine overhaul and it runs perfect. tonight im goint to pick up a throttle body gasket(vaccum leak) and im going to test my coils at work.

just that dam misfire every 5 to 10 revoultions
DO NOT GAP THOSE PLUGS

They come specific. Which cylinder is missfirring? What codes are you throwing?
it is either 1 or 4 i know that i will know for sure tomorrow. someone who owned it before me tapped the wires that go to the coil and i sottered them and it seems like it is misfiring even more now. im going to call the dealer tomorrow and see if i can get that plug and just sotter it together

i took about .005 off of the plugs.
If you gapped them then you can just throw them away. They are now trash. Try swapping coil packs around and seeing if this fixes it.
Well I dont' know about the lasers but the Iridiums say not to Gap them but you can.. I had to gap my friends Iridiums when we had to get them two ranges coldeer for his turbo app.

Did I read this right...?

You can't "gap" a plug to result in a colder heat range, you buy the colder plug and gap it... May I ask what the gap should have been and what you changed it to to make it a "colder range" plug?

Even though Iridiums say not to gap them [and I'm not saying you should either] it is advisable to still check the gap before installing. Three out of eight on my old Z were improperly gapped from NGK, glad I cought it before putting them in.

Chris.

ok I might have said that wrong. We bought plugs that where two ranges colder but they where gapped at like 40 something. For turbo application that won't work. So we regapped them to 30. I know that with the Iridiums as long as you don't break the tip you are ok. 4 weeks and no issues so far
These will be my last words on this.

There is a warning on the box for a reason! Kinda like dont drink if your pregnant. Its your risk.

You can gap iridiums plugs, so long as you just bend the strap. You do not want to force one of those little gapping disks between the strap and electrode. You will forsure break the electrode.
well i installed them and i also gapped them and they work fine.. right now i gapped them to .038
