hi all,
My OEM shift knob is backward after i turn it all the way down full thread.

I can make it in the right position by backing up about half cycle thread but it will be loose..
I check out the shifter but it does not have any screw...
Does anyone have this kind of problem?
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply but if we put loctite, will it stuck there and be difficult to remove next time when need to?

If you use blue or medium strength loctite you will be able to remove it without heat. It'll have some resistance, but it will be removable. Don't use red or high strength stuff. That will require heat to remove witch is pretty impractical for a shift knob.

You can also use thread tape, I give it a couple of wraps on the shifter with my greddy knob and it keeps it in place quite well.

Put a couple dabs of loctite on the middle threads of the shifter and let it completely dry. Then thread on the knob. It'll be a little tougher when you get to the part with the dabs. This way the loctite is only bonded to the shifter and not the knob.
