go with the shark fin style one
go with hte stubby if you are gonna do one
the shark fin will look horrible on the trunk lid. it would look fine on a coupe but yuck on the spyder
its spelled antenna...anyway, I say the stubby one.

Yea i like the stubby one...all the bmw's have that "sharkfine" style and im not sure if i really like it.
Let us know how the antenna works out (either one). I don't think the shark fin style would look THAT bad if it was small. They dont list the dimensions of it though :(

I'm tempted to do the stubby myself as my HU doesn't have a turn on wire for my OEM power antenna :(
I just cut my stock one short. Shaved the tip smooth. And sprayed it black. Took all of 15 minutes and works perfectly.

I dont think that is possible on a Spyder. As far as I know all Spyder antennas are the powered/extendable, metal kind.

Good call....i overlooked the spyder part.
Why dont you just chop it? Thats what I did, still has perfect reception and looks great.

Negatory NC.. Mine was an 01 GS and had a whip antenna. Bought a stubby and it worked fine. And I live out in the boonies from Chicago.
