Passenger Side Window.

My passenger side window stopped working all of a sudden. I have tried to search for the past two days but the search engine is not working. I have checked all the fuses and nothing all of them where ok. The passenger side button is not on you know the one on the drivers side that can lock the window. Yeah I have tried everything. Its very annoying driving with only one window down. My sunroof works. I have a 2000 Eclipse GS 5 Spd. 79,000 miles. I dont know what it could be. In the fuse box i changed the relay where the little window picture is at to another relay that was there. Both relays have the same part number and nothing.

Have you ever spilt soda on the driver buttons? I know I have and it caused that lock button to stick.
No I havent. I rarely eat in my car.
Oh come on. :)

The 3g is the perfect car to eat in or take a number two on. j/k
Yeah, got the same error now :).

? Did your pass. window become slower to roll up just a smidge before it stopped? Is it up or down?

I'll be in your shoes soon... My pass. window takes about 1sec longer to go up then driver side :ghey:
I mean since I bought the car back in the summer of 2006 the windows would be wierd like it woulg go up slowly one day and then another day it will go up fast. So you see I don't think that has anything to do with the fact that my passenger side window is not responding. Its not getting a signal or something.
Really though it sounds like a ground issue with the motor going slow or just the motor going bad. I think a higher then normal resistance on the ground wire could cause premature failure of the motor.
open the door with the engine off so the inside lights come on, now press the window button up. do the lights dim slightly? if so the motor is getting power but is stuck. whether this is due to a bound up track system or a locked up motor, cant tell till you take the door apart.
I am currently in this exact same situation, my pass. window will only roll up in short bursts of an inch or two, then it takes about 20 minutes before I can give another burst. I suspect its the motor itself, but the mitsu dealer wants to charge $150 each for a new motor and resister, plus labor at $108.75/hr (quoted 1.5 hours). I would really appreciate if anyone had any insight on this, and if anyone knew how complicated it would be to do a swap by yourself...
I have the same issue

I have the same thing happening with my driver side window. I can't roll it up without it stopping 1-3 inches from the top. After waiting about 5 minutes it will resume normal operation and roll up the rest of the way. Even when it works it seems a little lazy. Have you been able to pinpoint the cause?
My passenger side window stopped rolling up or down, mid way, so i went to a junk yard and got a new window regulator and put it in myself, it is pretty damn hard but not too badd.. Firestone wanted like 400 bucks to put it in and i said HELL NO! So i chose the used $70 one over the new 400 one haha, good luck!
