i have been searching and cant find anyone who has explained alot about the loc. i hooked one up today, it is an edge "i think" and it is is adjustable itself. i had the exact hookup in my truck without the loc and it sounded great.. now i have same boxes and everythign in my car, and the amp is at the base and gain on the amp havent been touched .it distorts like crazy in my car. i was wondering where you were suposed to hook it up at "after headunit, after amp, or after back 6x9`s" i ran wires from where it conects to my 6x9`s to the loc and wondering if that could be a problem.

I ran mine the same way and didnt have a problem. I would double check your wiring.

I might would try finding a headphone to phono adapter and just plug in an ipod and see if it distorts with that.

 

[Circuit]

At the 6x9's and after the amp are the same thing. You cannot hook it up before the amp, since the HU connects with a DIN cable.
