I have the Zex remote bottle opener, and frequently it will open the bottle but then it wont close it. I popped the top on it and put a couple of turns on the adjustment mechanism. Now it doesnt slip at all.. just open stop close stop. Should it slip after being turned all the way 1 direction? It works great now but I dont want to burn the motor up.

On the bottom of the bottle opener there is a phillips head screw. On top you pop out the vented piece (I used a small flathead), dont pop the rivets.. the piece that pops in and out is not attached with rivets anyhow there is a 3/8" bolt. You can tighten the assembly to increase the torque on the bottle valve. If you go to Zex.com and look at the installation guides they mention that you can adjust it. I'm just wondering if I got mine to tight. when you have a hard time opening yours does is spin freely? or does it stop at open or close (the motor itself)? I'm thinking since it's a clutch type of assembly that I probably got mine too tight since it gets to open or close and stops the motor instead of slipping the clutch mechanism but I wanted to check before trying to adjust it more.

yes you do have yours too tight. just back it off a little until it will overcome the clutch not stall the motor. mine stops when it goes to start to either open or close the valve.
