Thats why cali and Fed are differant and anyone who has a fed and gets a cali exhaust has to modify it to fit.It may just been due to the fact it was for a Cali not Fed spec.
Skunk 2 V6 catback has bad fitment
I spent most of my graduation money on a catback. i was gonna go with the invidia for 450 but then i saw a skunk 2 for 450 so i wantd that one then. i went to put it on and the 1st pipe off your cat, at the first bend it was angled at the ground! and we had to modify the flange that bolts on the old stuff. we had to cut 3 times and weld 2 or 3 times.:scream: also had to make a o2bung hole. i do NOT recomend the skunk2 catback. but after all that i do sound good and run good :fever:

The fed spec was most likely the problem. My car has a skunk2 catback too and it bolted up perfectly. I love my exhaust. I recommend it to anyone. Mine is an 02 though so its cali spec. You probably got the wrong kit.
oh ya. the pic showed a fed spec but it was cali spec obviously. we just said F it and modified it. and now that i kno that it was because i screwd up i DO recommend the skunk 2 catback. i love the sound and HP. its like a beefy rasy sound lol. if they go together. ha
skunk 2 cat back sound really good on tha v6 i have a firend who has a 2000 gt, im not sure how he got his hooked up but it sounded nice.

some usefull info on the skunk2 cat back. the first production model that skunk2 produced had fitment issues. i believe this model went through 2 batches from what I remember. At which point skunk2 put the exhaust back into production to have these issues corrected. from what I remember the issues were not major. you could install the exhaust but it did require a bit of force and in some cases exhaust hanger adjustments or modifications. i know this because my car was used the second time around. they had the car for about 4 hours. all they did was modify one bend slightly to get it spot on.
i have never been a fan of skunk 2 products, should have gone with the invidia!

oh i love the exhaust! i made a newb mistake and didnt get the right spec cat back. just assumed it would fit mine. didnt read article good enough. but its working now and love the tone! i totally reccomend skunk2 cat back just make sure you get your spec. lol

All i have is my lg shine and im sure it wont so good in that area. and i live in a strict apt complex but i will try it tommorrow. dought it will be in good sound quality tho
