So I finally lowered the Z...

thanks to Sam and dklau for the budget suggestions! I've had the parts for a while and have had it installed for a few weeks, but I finally got it aligned so I can actually drive more than a mile without chewing through the rear tires.

Eibach Sportlines, Tokico Blues, SPC front camber arms/rear camber arms/rear toe bolts. The Sportlines are listed at a 1.2" drop, but that's a joke: the car is on the fucking ground. I also have the rears pushed out with 25mm spacers, and 20mm spacers on the front for a effective offset of +10 fronts and +8 rears. The spacers really complete the look. Total spent was a bit over $1000, and this is how it's sitting now. schweet! :)

I sold the 18f/19r Rays GTs and have been patiently looking for something else; I considered going big before, but now I am leaning more towards fat 18s, like 18x10s all around...but for now, I have the stockers back on. BO-RING! Oh well. At least it has a good stance now :)

Looks sharp :twothumb:
Looks really good. What color combination are you thinking for your next set of wheels?

:woot: Looks good, but I can't tell the drop at all because your car is a big black blob.
Paint the stockers bronze. Either do it yourself with the Duplicolor kit or have someone powder coat them. But I have seen AWESOME results from the Duplicolor kit so dont discourage that idea. Ive seen them on a black 350z just like yours, it was a deep bronze color though and he left some room on the edge, the lip, and polished it. Looked really nice.

Painted stockers on a Z :noway:

purty... i really like the concave looking rims like the Volk TE37s... they look real nice on the Z cars...

yeah I know  Lets say this: there isn't any gap to speak of between the tire and the fender, at ALL. The top of the tire is actually tucked under the fender. :) I'll get a picture.

As for the wheels...I appreciate the suggestion, but no way in buttsex hell am I painting the stockers. The wedding seriously kicked my ass as far as funds are concerned, so it will probably be a month or two before I get wheels. I have shied away from the huge-lip wheels; if I find a deal then I'm not going to pass it up, but I'm looking more towards no-lip, low-offset/super wide 18" concave designs, like Work Emotion CRs or Advan RGIIs. There is a guy on the Z site with a GREAT deal on these WMB Work Emo CRs, but I simply am not in the position to buy anything right now.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I'm happy I was able to get the drop that I wanted on a fair budget.
Nice. I just had a member of a local Mustang club install my Eibach Pro Kits since I didnt want to lower it too much. Im looking to get some Bilstein shocks and struts too, afterwards, its off to the alignment.

My only complaint is that the front hasnt really dropped yet so I hope it settles in sooner or else I am going to ask the guys to remove my isolators when I do the shocks and struts

The car is looking hot tho, Mark.

Do what I did...NOT purposely, mind you... .... get into an accident where one of your wheels broke in half, and two others were practically cracked to shit. Then, pay the body shop the difference on the wheels you want instead of getting the stockers

HA! Dude I don't have to be skeet on some wheels  I'll get a set eventually, just had other things that were more important.

Sam, here's a few better pictures to show the drop...took these this morning before leaving for work. Yes, that is how much dust collects in two days on my car. Thank you to my carport and the construction going on down the street.

If you couldn't see the dust in those pictures...

The tire is actually slightly tucked under the fender.

Srsly. Keep THOSE whizzles. Looks fantastic.

...And I'm old.
Fuck, I forgot how much the Eibachs lower a car. Looks nice.
Looking great Mark! Sad to see the other set of wheels go. I'm sure your wifey was happy though huh? The stance on your car is pretty damn aggressive now. I'm guessing the roads are fairly friendly in your area? If I tried that shit here in SF I wouldn't have anything left to call a bumper. Congrats again too on your wedding.

The only problem with those wheels are that they are insano heavy; but I have always like the look.
