Yep I had someone stick sugar in my old escort and when I pulled the tank all I found was the sugar in the bottom of the tank, of course this was after I had driven it for a week and didnt know anything was wrong until I went to put fuel in the car. Also they tried this on myth busters and just couldnt get the engine to fail. So, do you know for sure what it is?

Sugar won't kill the engine. It may clog a filter, but it won't kill the engine.
Still sucks that you have to deal with any of it at all, sorry to hear it -
????? Sure that it was sugar? That defies everything ever written about it, that sugar doesn't dissolve in gas. Why would his gas be different?Ruined the fuel pump, injectors, filter, and gummed up the fuel lines. so yea, driving it would be a bad idea
:agreed:O and also get a locking gas cap
Haha. Not only does that link inform you that sugar wont kill a car, it also informs you on how you actually CAN kill a car.
im almost 100 percent positive it was but maybe it was flour??? i dont think dissolving had anything to do with it because his whole fuel system was clogged... but who knows. that was a while ago????? Sure that it was sugar? That defies everything ever written about it, that sugar doesn't dissolve in gas. Why would his gas be different?
