:ndance: This past month was my month that I decided I'm going to keep my RS 3G and not get a new car. That lead me to look at turbos to increase performance, thus leading to swapping and turbo-ing threads. As I talked it over with a friend of mine that works at a performance shop and a few evo owners, they suggest a 4G63 TURBO EVOLUTION MOTOR swap. I found one online with Motor, Transmission, ECU, Distributor, Alternator, Complete Intake&Exhaust Manifold, A/C Power Steering Pump, All Brakets And Sensors, Engine Wiring Harness, All required Cables, Intercooler and Turbo. Still missing a few things I know, but my RS is currently Auto, and Ive wanted to swap to manual, and this kit gives me that opportunity to swap not only tranny but motor! So I figure by tax time I'll buy this motor, but until then, its studying up on swaps, everything that I'll need, learn more curse words and spend countless time looking at a computer screen about motors, reviews and swaps. If it says it has a distributor then it is a scam. Evos nor your car have ever had a distributor. Only the v6s did.

Not to be "that guy" but I think you should do a lot more research on this site about the motor swap etc before even thinking about this swap. How do you plan on getting the evo transmission to work with just fwd? Also are you going to use the 5 speed or 6 speed tranny? I would also plan on having a shop custom make intercooler piping as well as a down pipe as well. Just an evo 8 motor is $3000-$4000 plus shipping, wiring harness is $250, ecu $300, and intercooler are $300. Its almost $5000 with just these things. Last thing before you buy anything research the company before you buy, the majority of online sites are scams and have an f rating with the better business bureau.
