I just recently bought my 03 eclipse back in 2015 and i'm tryna find out what are some real modifications i can do to the engine. Im not tryna rice it out with a simple air filter unless it adds power lol. Any mods would be great. The engine is completely stock btw.

No real budget, but I'll say $1,000 for a couple months. This car is my everydayer so i dont need the mods all in one package

Better to just keep saving, $1000 won't get you any real mods. Save up for a second car so you can put the 3G down to do real work like a 3.8 swap.

Seems like a good idea. I'll do a full engine check up and then ill see how much power i have after that. The car is at 169,000 miles lol its needs some love. Thanks though.

With that many miles I'd suggest looking into the 3.8 swap as well. :agreed:

Maybe, I hit 110mph on the highway and the car seems just fine. The previous owners must of taken great care of the car lol But ill keep that engine swap in mind, Thanks

i seen cars with bald tires, bent wheels, worn out shocks, and lacking brake pads hit 110 on the highway. speed doesn't translate to 'everything's good'.
