that wategate sound is a leak in your intake
:agreed:check the little plastic clips that hold the air scoop down, may be missing.
just give it a good inspection, check out the plugs, sniff the coolant, look at the brake fluid (it should be clear), and look up how to check balljoints and tierods for wear and play. inspect the brake pad level and rotor thickness, i doubt at 32k the rear drums and shoes are worn, but its not a bad idea to check those out as well. feel across the tires for anything odd like bubbles or feathering/chopped tread.Sounds like the ticket ..
as far as performance loss ,
as soon as I heard the sound I let off..
no big loss of performance , it seems to loose some but nothing drastic.
I found two rivets in the bottom of the air box
explains a lot ..like no matter how hard I revved with the hood up no sound.
I sure hope so .. sounds alot better then any thing else.
while I am at it are there any things that I should look at closer on these cars.
( or any links )
I know some vehicles like my truck have certain weak links ..like hubs, ball joints etc..
thanks.
