Stratus Aftermarket Support

If someone approaches me with a deposit and secures an order for 25 or more sets of lights and is willing to distribute those amongst a group buy, I will have something manufactured. I don't see a high enough demand to just do this on my own and stock the inventory for retail sale, so a group buy would need to be organized.

If you look at post #30 I had a list of people going, I'm sure a lot more would be interested aswell.

Essentially how it would work is this:

1. Someone organizes a GroupBuy and receives 25+ interested buyers.
2. Proposed design or examples of what they want are provided to me.
3. I do R&D, figure out costs, manufacturing, etc.
4. If #3 is successful, production #'s and cost are provided to GB organizer
5. Group decides to proceed or not, GB organizer collects all payments and buys FULL order from me.
6. I will ship entire order to organizer for distribution.

At this point, #1 needs to be completed and #2 needs to be worked on between the group and final decision and concept email to [email protected]

I'm not sure of the number of interested buyers, but I'm sure 25 is easily feasable, as there are some Stratus guys on C3g that aren't even on 2gstratus that would be included in the GB.

I think just to start off, the majority of members would want projector lenses, for the 01-02 Coupe and 4dr models as well as the 03-05 models, Coupe and 4dr. This would be a total of 4 different lenses, with the projector housing included. As you can see from that thread everything is basically laid out already, I'm just not sure if it would meet to your standards or not.

This essentially would be the next step if everything else falls into place, which would be great.

So your basically saying that we need 25+ people, someone comes up with the design of the headlights, you collect a payment to cover the materials, than if people like what comes of it than you make a bundle and than the interested GB participants send the money to you for their headlights?

That's what I gathered from it. Well hell I can already see that 25+ are interested, and much wouldn't be needed for the design, hell anything would be better than nothing. I'm sure nate has some old sketches, and almost all would agree on a black housing with the projectors put in place as a basic design.

Eh, let me clarify.

Once the design is approved and pricing is within reason, THEN all the money would be collected by whoever organizes the GB (not me) and sent to me (the manufacturer). That's when the already approved design is created and ALL the orders are sent to the GB organizer to distribute.

Essentially, I only want to be the manufacturer, not the retail outlet for managing the entire GB.

This sounds good. I'd definitely be interested as long as the cost isn't outrageous. Is there a projector lense out there that uses the stock bulb size that could be used for those of us already with HID's?

i'm interested in this as well, projector headlights have been on my mind for a while now for my car. I'm not saying i'll buy them, but after sketches and prices, I might have to get a set.

Well the interest is slowy but surely starting back up.

Thank you for starting that thread for me, Nate. I'm assuming that most people just feel this will never happen, etc. But i'm sure there are atleast 30+ interested that would be down and willing to get a set of projector lenses or whatever that would be produced. Are there any sketches being thrown into the mix yet?

I'm in the process of sketching, might not look the best but it'll help generate some ideas.

Replied. I'm letting you take the lead on this and once you all are prepared, approach me with the design and I will go from there.

As far as a master list goes, do you mean with all the names and such or what?
