im trying to wire neon into the car from the battery and i cannot find the hole in the firewall. everyone said just look under the dash and it's obvious...but i see like 7 packs of wires going every which way. lol. can someone please help.

Had the same prob a while back... still have some wiring I need to do for my halos. searched forever for an answer, nothing.. was about to either run it though the fender, or drill a new hole..

I have wiring runing thru the fender to inside the car door as well. Just a temporary solution till I get a new hole made. Ethier you can do it urself n drill a hole or just simply get an audio shop to make one for you easy.

When logicgate did his sub he mentioned to me that he had to drill a hole.

You are problably goin to have to drill a good place is above the clutch and the foot rest pad on the floor, about a foot up from their rite thru the firewall its a good place and its right on the side by the battery so if u are pulling power from the battery you will be right there.

thanks for the help. i already wired it through fender and door jam but it will just take 2 seconds to undo it. me and my dad are gunna work on it tomorrow, so we might just drill it like everyone is sayin.

thats the way i did mine except i didnt really do it on the side, i kinda just but it under the fender well. Above the plastic there are already a few wires run the for stock electronics. I just ran my wires along with those, make sure you use some of that hard plastic wire covering because if not you may have problems with the wires rubbing on the edges of any openings you run them through and breaking.

It's much easier to just drill a hole under the dash out of site, install a rubber grommet, and run your wires through that. Not only will it give you a seal and easy access for additional wiring and/or troubleshooting down the road, but its also the best solution for those who don't want (or can't because they're molded) to take off the fenders.

or because of the amount of work to remove a fender, break 5 bolts and have to drill and tap new holes.

You don't have to remove the fenders at all. Running the power cable the way circuit posted is really simple. Why bother drilling any more holes? To each their own I guess.

You just need to remove the inner fender lining, which is plastic and comes out with a few plastic rivet... thingys :lol:

u can do that or there is a whole next to the seat. pull the center console out and pull the carpet back some u should see it.

Thats what I did. Took me about 1/2 an hour to jack up the car, take out the fender liner bolts and push thru the 4 gauge wiring for the sub. Nice and out of the way, and you use a stock hole.

I ran all my shit through the fender hole. I did not remove the fender, just the splash guard. I zip tied all my new wiring to the existing wiring bundle that was already under the fender. Personally, I would not suggest drilling a new hole unless you have the car/engine broken down pretty far. If you mess up the hole location and drill into something you shouldn't have then the repair costs would be insane. It is about personal preference though.... I just wanted to play it safe.
