fisherman's terrace for dim sum is not bad. it isnt too expensive for lunch, its just like any other dim sum place. if we decided to go there we should make reservations.
i gotta say tropika in aberdeen is not a very good value. its portions are too small for its price, the one in vancouver is better imo.

i see a lot of 3Gs around here but there's like no Canadian members here... are they all at RS or sth?

it's even worse at 2gstratus, i'm one of a few canadian members and pretty sure the only bc member... i think there was one other bc member but after one post he went and disappeared...

I had my brother slipped a note on bobby's car the other day.

We need to decide where to go so we can give others (hopefully some newbies) some warning. Aberdeen is probably ok but we'll have to go to level 3 or up to park (if you want group pics). I don't know if there's even a roof access.
Or we can go to the keg (like back in 2002) or that dimsum place on no. 3 (when tim came). I'm not from Richmond so I don't know where else to go except for the places I've been.

BTW, i went to north van mitsu on Sat and saw 3 4Gs! Orange GT, red GS & silver GT. They have 8 people who have put down a deposit already and they won't get anymore shipment until Sept.

The stereo system rocks! (you have to go with the 600 watts of course)

i doubt we would be able to find 3+ parking spots in a row at aberdeen let alone find room to take pics... super crowded on the weekends... particularly during the dim sum rush... unless we can convince the mall to let us park in that open area at the main entrance hahaa that would be awesome! :D

anyways... i think we should find a place to eat then cruise out to wherever to take pics... i've been try'g to think of where but outside of the popular ubc/spanish banks areas i'm not sure where else is nice...

would others who go be ok w/ dim sum?

well so far, everybody is okay (the three of us) :lol: so lets just go with that. if anything comes up (ie. more people) then we can change our plans to suit? I'll go ahead and make reservations for saturday at 12:30 if you guys give me the confirmation. Raz is your bro coming? Lego are you bringing ur gf? Tell me how many ppl i should reserve for

I agree that we should take pics else where. Aberdeen just isnt very scenic!
Lets see, close by in richmond there is, Steveson Village, Iona Beach, RiverRoad **** or that parking lot close to the airport landing strip? (i think its gravelly tho). In vancouver is the usual UBC (done that before with raz), Spanish banks, Stanely Park, Kits Beach?

Cruising, well..... robson? :D We can do a lil' shopping afterwards too. We can park at Pacific Center underground parking so Raz you dont have to worry about your car.

Last important thing, are we still doing dyno? I want to! I just got my magnaflow catback in. I think it sounds sweet :) If Raz you can hook us up with that, that'll be awesome.

I'll be by myself. My dad's here so my bro needs to parentsit.
I'm afraid if we meet for dyno first we might run late and miss the lunch appt. But if we do it after lunch then we might have to rush lunch. We can do dyno next time and make it a priority then see what goes after that.

We can go to Spanish Banks, but I don't know where it is.
I can't park underground, it'll cut the signal to my receiver!

aww, i thought this was a dyno meet haha. what is the forecast like on saturday? we might not be able to take photos if its raining :( i just thought of that today since its pouring!

We can cruise to spanish banks if we decide to go there. Its just north of UBC.
HAHAHA so you must be in reciever range of ur car at all times?? Thats limiting! Hahaha i dont think u'll be in reciever range when ur inside a mall like aberdeen either

i haven't taken my car to aberdeen, but i think i can still get the signal inside. you had no idea how it was for me before i had the paging alarm :D
so, are you going to call the restaurant? i don't even know the name. we can just reserve for 7, maybe? just in case if we got someone from the other forum coming.

i'm going to give up on the weather. i just spent the long weekend zaino-ing the car and i'm still not done, but if it's going to rain then so be it.

the marine drive drive to spanish banks is more fun than to robson :p

do u guys golf? there's a nice driving range on marine drive :D

awww 40% chance rain on saturday, whats the matter with this summer??

marine drive to spanish bank sounds good and scenic, even though i drive that road everyday hahahaha i golf, but im not very good. but im up for it if everyone is.

so right now:

1) Lunch at Fisherman's Terrace
2) Cruise
3) Photo

seriously no dyno? do you have a phone number i can call cathy? i may want to go by myself in the morning, i want my SAFC tunes, its almost a year since i installed it!

Ed, the dyno place in Richmond is SNK's. You can check revscene or the phone book.
So the Fisherman Terrace is in Aberdeen right? Which one is it?
I'll probably be there after 11 to do some shopping..

yup, its in aberdeen's 3rd floor. there is only one dim sum place up there. if you cant find it call me. so how many should i reserve for?? please let me know

it's on the third floor near the main entrance side (where that large semicircle courtyard is, facing Central Square Mall sorta). it's called "Fisherman's Terrace" really small facade but it's quite big inside (altho u don't really feel it cuz they pack the tables in there :p)

Weather update: looks like sat afternoon will be nice but rain in the morning... i guess there's no way to keep the car looking nice for pics :( i don't have to work Mon tho ;)

Okay, so i still count 3 right now unless Raz comes through with some new members :p
I'm going to reserve tonight for 3 unless you guys give me a call on my cell. I'll pm u two my cell phone #.

Lets make the lunch at 12 okay? I just got work at 4 tomorrow afternoon argh, but its close to spanish banks so we're okay.

Do you guys think there will be enough parking in Spanish banks for all 3 cars side by side? If its a sunny saturday afternoon.......
