I'll say it, until someone says otherwise: the 2000 ECU will not be cracked until someone breaks the code. No one up to this point has stepped up or has given any updates. This leaves me to believe that it is a low priortiy.

Change your ECU, Flash, and be happy. I wish I could tell you otheriwise.
 
oh well, seems cheap enough to just swap. Guess I'll talk to my local mitsu guys about swapping...that is, once I get my car back from the tuner. ...great, I am waiting on a guy to finish tuning my newly boosted car with a emanage only to turn around and flash it. I wish I had enough foresight...

Don't feel bad... I have an E-manage Blue with both harnesses... I'm not even going to use it because of the flash. Your e-manage could be used for fine tuning.

i couldn't find any info on this and i searched high and low, but this is indeed good news...I was about to go and do a swap.

there isnt a free datalogger. you have to buy one. if you cant afford maybe 40-50 bucks to buy a cheap one, you mus not NEED one.
 
flash blue RS... i see that you were going to modify the accel enrichment... and lean out the AFR

on my high octane ignition map.... the highest rpm value is 20,000 is there a reason for that???
what is the load % value for that???

when i look at the high/low octane fuel map... the numbers are the air fuel ratios correct???
if i was to change the value would it automatically compensate for the other factors withing changing the a/f
load% for this map has to do with the load that the injectors are under, correct???

when i look at the accel enrichment table... what is the other value.... i see the rpm but what is the other value???

what is that referring too...

min coolant temp for closed loop... mine is set to 7... so when the coolant temp is equal or greater than 7 degree's it will enter closed loop???
and if so where is the map for closed loop... i see two open loops but no closed loop

and what is the injector scaling???
 
for the accell enrichment.. flash told me to set it plus .400 to each so for example.. if it is " 1.00" it would be " 1.4" 2.3 = 2.7 well thats what flash told me to do.. and i'm stock 2001 gs MT for the high octane map.. i have no idea yet... i just set everything up .500 to everythign so for example.. all the "14.7" in the fuel map.. i put them to 15.3 i went up .5 or soo.. i "THINK" i feel a difference.. but then again i dunno if i set them too high and it just reverted back to the low map.. not sure if it should be set to 15.3 and so on.. if anyone reading this.. please let me know.. but basically man.. u just gotta guess and check.. i dont have a data logger yet.. so i'm tuning blind.. = bad! but ya man.. if u find out anymore stuff please let the rest of us know.. there is no manual for this.. i guess u just have to research and do alot of trial and error.. good luck man!
 
for the high octane map i THINK thats your a/f ratio... and you would want to lean that out some...

and the part that you are upping .400 on the accel enrichment... do you know what that value is...
because once i KNOW what each values are i would be able to better tune the car... instead of just randomly pluggin/chagin numbers...
 
well i modified my high octane map according to http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=201146

this is like a VERY BASIC lesson into ecuflash... u should read it if u haven't already... and the accell enrichment.. i think its also fuel.. i think the high octane map is fuel too... i mean the numbers in the middle... i'm assuming becuz its a stock system so it would read the airflow right? give or take CAI or not.. but still stock.. so i would assume that we are modifying the fuel only to the amount of air goes in at that point in time.. i dunno man! if flash was on here he would prolly tell u the exact answer... like i said. i'm just learning as i'm going.. but check out that site...

A evo map will be far richer (since it is turbocharged) than what you need for NA applications. I wouldn't copy it if you aren't boosted.
