It is only 6.1MP. My DS is 'only' 6.1MP. It's not about the number of megapixels, its about the quality. Don't get hung up on the MP number. 6MP from a DSLR will kick the ass of any P&S out there. The sensor size is more important than almost anything.FLiPMaRC said:

Damnit man. I may wind up moving away from Nikon unless they do something to really make me stay. I have to say though, I do love my D50 and it hasn't given me any issues at all, plus I love the nice smooth jpgs even in ISO 1600 :yesway: I wonder how Pentax will configure that 10mp sensor, and how the images will turn out at higher ISO settings.
One reason I didn't go Pentax, the selection of modern lenses is limited, and none have AF-S/USM motors. I guess I'll wait and see what types of "supersonic" lenses they come out with. They have definitely caught my eye with this new body though.

The sesnor in that camera is the Sony sensor used in the nikon and the sony SLR isn't it?
Scott, that is a tiny resolution for the digital camera. :lol: it shouldn't be too hard to make is look clear and crisp.
there's not a lot but you can look through mine and if you see one you like I'll either upload or email it to you in the size you need.

for what we do, I'd be more concerned about features and clean photos than I was about megapixels. I've printed out several shots from my rebel and 20D in 8x10, 16x24 and even a 24x36 that looks great. things like Canon's new cleaning system, or the weather sealing on this pentax is what is going to start making the difference to buyers.
