Yeah imma get the kyb gr-2 gas. I can get them for $250 but $400 dang thats expensive. If you paid 400 for yours you got your a** ripped.
$400 is for KYB AGX's, which is a much more performance oriented damper, which means that he and many others who paid close to that didn't get a** ripped.

The AGX are Dampening Adj iirc and are better when lowering a car with spring imo.I have the TEIN SS-P and I will get a new updated pic I am real low now and it setteled pretty well so far and with 17's its sick looking IMO.

There is absolutely no reason to cut spring when you have several options to go with. I bout some progress springs brand new for about 150.00.

SO being that the springs are stiffer wouldnt that alleviate more pressure off of your struts. I have never had any problem running aftermarket springs on stock struts or shocks. I have had 4 eclipses and 3 civics that were all done this way and never had any issues at all. In fact it was a much better ride than the stock springs. I am not trying to argue with anyone but just letting the kid know that it can be done without harm or issue to the struts. Just make sure if you lower it yourself you dont cut off your bump stop or maybe then you will have issues.

That is probably why the struts go out. If you dont cut them they wont bottom out as easily and it retains a much better ride. Thats okay though. Like I said, I am not here to argue with anyone. You do it your way I will do it mine.

so explain why most everyone who has put aftermarket springs on stock struts blow them within 2 months? And depending on what you consider a "good ride," I have never been in a vehicle that was lowered and the ride was more comfortable than stock.

I agree with skippy on how u can use stock struts and shocks when you lower the car. I know plenty of people who use stock struts or shocks. I dont agree with how the ride quality is better but if he means that the handling is better than yeah hes right but comfort, nah its not as comfortable as stock. Everybody who believes you cant use stock struts and shocks look at the 5th bullit http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe/0563.1.1812128666000032232 now adjustable damper shocks are recommended but not required.

if you don't have upgraded struts to go along with your new stiffer springs you're gonna bounce all over the place when you go over bumps and such. I had sportlines on stock struts for about two weeks because I was stupid and didn't wanna wait and it was horrible. Get the upgraded struts and you won't regret it.
