I am looking at the service manual I am trying to figure out what the auto transmission drain line looks like. The picture in the manual is a drawing so I can't really figure out where exactly it is. Is it on the driver side or pass side? Anyone got a picture?

did you have to get a drain bolt gasket or did you just replace the bolt with the one that was already on it? just asking because i am about to change mine today or tomorrow and wasnt sure if i should just go ahead and get a new one. also should i get the brass or the rubber one?

Why would you need to get a new one??

I've removed my bolt no less than 20-25 times since I've had my car. You should have absolutely no need to replace the bolt gasket. Matter of fact, I just removed my bolt yesterday to drain my fluid out to take my axle out.

Generally it varies, but anywhere from every 30k-60k miles is the average that I've found.

Royal purple, you may never have to change it again.
I talked about the use of other tranny fluids with an ex-senior Mitsu Tech, he advised against it. The fluid Mitsu carries is the only product that is supposed to be used.

I trust him when I have questions like that, hes a fair guy and he has nothing to gain since he doesnt work for Mitsu anymore. I think I have a how-to on some of this stuff, Ill have to drag it up.

I've heard the same, however after much debate I use Amsoil brand synthetic transmission fluid..
