Alright so in the manual it says to change the fuel filter every 60k. In the 3gs the filter is "part" of the pump, and the guy at O'Reilly's told me its not replaceable. 1. Should i buy a whole new fuel pump? 2. If not where can i get just the filter.3. whats the difference between the fuel filter and the strainer?

Yes, the fuel filter is part of the pump assembly. I had a little problem with my car going lean when It was getting tuned and it ended up being the damn filter, so I had to get one from the dealership.

the fuel filter IS part of the pump assembly inside the gas tank and does not need to be replaced. It's a lifetime filter. if you want to change it anyway for peace of mine, you can get one here.
Hello rc_maniac, i am currently planning to change my fuel filter since i am using this for quite a while. Can you recommend some brand that has the best quality? one of my friend suggest to me the brand of mann-filter but i also need a professional advice. thanks in advance.
