ebay is good for small things like accessories or bushings stick with the pro's for the precision work (wiseco, CP.... etcetera). You kind of sound like me in the aspect of fresh to the build process. take your time. Seriously take your time. figure out exactly what it is you want to do then start your build. Don't just jump in and buy random stuff because your going to waste money on impulse buys. Make a list set power goals. Is the car your building going to be a DD or track car? are you looking just to shave a second off or chasing the 10 second 1/4

Some people here will be rude. Pay attention to the ones who stand out in the crowd there is a few good guys here that really know what they are talking about and are helpful to serious people.

Good job keeping it on the track :yesway:
x2, a bad day at the track beats a good day at work anyday :D

Like M0D1F13D said, think about what you want to do... if you're not after raw horsepower, you can always win races by joining bracket racing, or do autocross racing (slalom). Or even do all three, why not. Sure beats TV.

Didn't know this was already a v6 car.

Torque converter and some tires will help your time the most for the money.

Be careful with what you do to the car....it's still a sebring and you're dumping all this money into and will never get it back. It doesn't up the resale value to swap a 3.8 in.

I wouldn't waste time on the 3.8. Get boosted. 14.7 psi would be the same as doubling your displacement (6.0 liters) and sky is the limit.

Of course there's so many more mods you can do that would be way cheaper/easier that would lower the e.t.

the 3.8 is worth it for the money and is a good upgrade from stock but your not gonna kill all the other cars, that 'holy shit i have the fastest car ever' feeling will quickly wear off, i've thought about building and boosting mine but i would rather put the money in other places, especially since they closed down the track by me and the closest one is 1.5 hours.

side note, a 3.8 auto with a built tranny, lsd, sticky tires, and 2800 stall tc, about what do you think that would run?

F.I is definitely on the list of mods for the future. Along with finding out how to build this auto transmission up
