Crais' Toys, 03 GT Supercharged WIP & 01 GT Sporty

This has been my project and learning experience for the past 5 or so months. Bought it not running (jumped time), took it apart and got a valve job and sat around for a few days staring at all the parts wondering how the hell I was going to figure out how it goes back together. :dunno:

I quite literally had no idea what I was doing but a TON of reading and searching and reading more and PM'ing some very noobish questions about everything from the auto world lingo to "it's making a strange sound" type things and I somehow managed.

Tuning has begun, making good progress ironing out the kinks as we find them.

Huge thanks to Silvertune for helping me out with this! He has patiently answered every one of my questions and stuck with me while I tried to figure out what the hell I was doing. I don't think I could have made it run without his help. Seriously man, drinks are on me if you're ever in my part of the country.

Did you just say "Some Spoiler" as the classification. I don't think you realize what kind of Wing you have dude. Give it to me :) lol
lol I really don't.
At first I didn't like it but it's really growing on me. I'm painfully clueless in so many areas. Most of my reading has focused on the motor since that's what I had to fix.

Whatever you do. Keep that wing. Or sell it for massive profit if you decide you hate it.
Orrrr you can sell it to me for a (small) profit, and get a CF one to match your hood. :) What you have there is a really rare wing. More and more come up lately. There is a guy who has two that he's selling but because hes so far away shipping would make it way way too expensive. I have a wings west v-line that I bought when I bought the same kit that you have as a full package. I love mine but I'm ready for something different and I so want the falcon/aero duo wing.

Really Impressive ride though, I would look into some better headlights but that's the only thing I'd change.

Hehe, I think I'm going to hang on to it for the time being.

If you think the headlights aren't that hot just wait until you see the taillights. They were my least favorite part. They look like tycs but with a chrome ring around each lens. I've yet to see any on here like them. I'll get a rear pic up tomorrow. I'm not really a chrome kind of guy though, so maybe other people will like them. I'd much prefer some titanium tyc or black or something. Same with the headlights. I'd love to get the robo-mod look that the 3000gt guys can do.

and It's good that you are holding on to them. I am looking at getting myself a CF falcon wing here shortly. But if you recently change your mind and you want a CF one instead of the fiberglass one I'll take it off your hands. I'm thinking about having two. One fiberglass white and one Carbon fiber Switch 'em out time to time. Especially when there is bad weather. On the Taillights though if those are it those are Black Altezza lights. TYC's are definitely the way to go and if i'm not mistaken there is a member selling Carbon Fiber TYC's I would look into those as well as they would look good. Anything except Chrome TYC would look good (black, titanium, carbon fiber)

Yep, that looks like them.
Lights are pretty low on the priority list though, I could just nite shade them if worse came to worse.
Lights are retarded expensive imo. I just don't see $200 in value there. Headlights if coming from stock I can definitely understand. Projecters are a must. I've seen several on here that I really like but I have to finish motor work before I even think of changing cosmetic stuff.

Thank you for the compliments btw, I feel pretty proud of this car knowing what I was working with knowledge wise when I started this adventure. I've come a long way

I am surprised the original owner didnt sell both of his 3gs together  Glad you got it running again
I'm way to poor for that kind of venture, they were adorable parked next to each other though
I don't know who he sold the other one to or his evo, but he said they all sold. I've chatted with him a few times lately and he really saved my ass with the spare DR-14 he had. I had a wrecked one and couldn't find one for sale to save my life.

When it comes to exterior/interior mods. I pretty much know every single thing there is cause I'm working towards a Show car so its all about looks. When it come to engine mods I'm a basic aftermarket headers, CAI and Invidia n1 exhaust, and I don't know much of anything other than that lol I do want to boost and it will be in the near future but not one of my priorities

You've seen like you've came a long way. Its really nice :yesway: if you have any questions dealing with the exterior/interior or lights. hit me up, ill be glad to help.

i remember this car. Glad you got it running my only suggestion is to get rid of that front strut tower bar and put the stock one back on
I'm going to pull the stock one from my 01 and paint it then swap them out. Probably going to have to bend the flanges over the firewall back into shape, hopefully it won't turn into a long ordeal.

The cleanup under the hood is a little intimidating, there are so many wires laying around. Going to have ton of work to do before I'm happy popping the hood to show off.

Also have an exterior problem that I could use some advice on. I had a piece of plastic covering the hood for the last leg of the repairs to keep water from pouring in through the vents. The problem is that the plastic left some residue on the hood. It's like cloudy looking splotches. I have no idea how this happened...there wasn't any adhesive on the plastic. I've tried everything I can think of that isn't abrasive and I'm worried that I'll mar up the hood if I use something like polish. Any suggestions? I have no experience with cf and have no idea how durable that resin is.
