Is there going to be some racing by any chance
Maybe, probably the nascar racing game. :p I seriously doubt anyone is going to street race.

why :tfg: :tfg:
Hmm...I don't know.

Maybe because it is an illegal activity and puts your life and others in danger? :dunno:

If you want to do some racing once we get there or while we're moving from one place to another, and someone else agrees to race with you, get away from the group while you're doing it. Last thing we need is the local PD seeing 2 3G's racing each other, then drive a block down the road and see 15 other 3G's at the park. They'll think we're organizing street racing and might try and break us up.

Ok ppl :) We've reached a point where we have a good number of people to distinguish a small (<4 ppl/cars) meet and a fairly decently-sized one. But we're at a fork in the road.

House or Park? We have some people who are voicing out that they wanna meet at the park, and yet other people I've spoken with who've been to other Houston meets before are cool with, or for, a barbecue at a house.... chill kinda thing... until such time that we can go out and paint the town red.

What would you people prefer? We so far have these two options available to us. Park is of course free, and we have 2 tentative places to chill, only that we'd have to cut the alcohol from the picture either way. What's going to be our day thing? Meet and everything goes at a house or go to the park and go to the shooting range or whatnot over there?

You decide :)
OK guys, so far the original plans have been to go to a park, well I know that a couple others would prefer going to someones house. So it is now the time to have a majority vote on where to go. so I want everyone who is going to please vote on this. I need everyone to voice their opinion ASAP! My opinion is that at someone's houe parking would be outrageous! 5 People would like have to move if someone had to leave. Then it would be difficult to work on each others car due to the fact there probably wouldn't be much space left. Also, not everyone can play console games at once so some people would have to just sit arround. On the other hand, at the park we wouldn't have a problem with parking, the people who want to look/ work on each others cars would have plenty of room. Others can be eating/talking with each other, just chillin. The people left can be playing football or some other sport or over at the shooting range shootin some targets or clays. Then we can all head over to Katy Mills mall and do some NASCAR racing. After that, we can all head over to my place and do some more more chillin, a little TV/console games and at that point we decide on wut's next or whatever. So there you have it, both the advatages and disadvantages of going to a park or a persons house. I want ya'll to make the decision. So ya'll decide!

HOUSE?????? OR PARK??????

Just an update, I'm 90% in.

I just hope the other 10% of me doesn't get stuck on something. :twitch:

Oh, and about location, in the time honor tradition of AR15.com, lets do both! :twothumb: But I'm leaning more toward PARK.

I can check and see if my girl will let us use her apartment ...its on mason rd..1bd/livng room...everybody may want to bring a folding chair...let me check and see if its cool....and that way we could do whatever...

Sounds good SuperGT let us all know really soon man. In that case we can do the park thing and all the other stuff then head back afterwards instead of my house over to her house.

why :tfg: :tfg:
BECAUSE... We DO NOT ENDORSE STREET RACING :fawk: :p Only "off road use" parts :D And I don't wanna be associated with anyone who gets pulled over by an officer. Especially in an event involving a lot of other decked out cars. Been there. Never is fun.

Anyway, I'll be there for sure. In fact, I'm wasting this whole week to try to get the car to at least decent and presentable shape. I remember, Sean, when we used to meet up with Aaron (blackout) and he always had his car half-done or primered or some shit like that. Anyway, I'll have the "project car" in this group this time... so don't no one hurt my car's feelings :p

Also, can I suggest something? I personally am kinda strapped for cash. I volunteer to go get the food... or Voodoo and I can meet ahead of time to go grocery shopping for it! ... but can we have some kind of money-pot (no... not POT money :p) for this? That way we can have more stuff to prepare and eat, and cost less at the same time. Those who want to bring food on their own can do so too, and would be very much appreciated, but if we all pitch in (and it CAN'T be more than $5 a person anyway) it would be easier on us all.

I've spoken with a couple of other members, who might bring other members along as well. We have 6 cars/people right now for sure. This isn't including the Dallas ppl  Venn gets off late at night (7-9pm or so... don't remember). We could always hang out at the house till late in the afternoon, doing stuff... then drive around, then go to a local meet with other cars! How's that sound? :D

Speaking of which... What all do you guys wanna do with your cars that day? I know 01eclipsemike wants to paint his calipers. We can do relatively simple stuff like radiator flushes, fluid changes, and other relatively simple stuff. Knowledge-sharing is always fun! Post up! So that way, we can prepare :)

And if anyone wants to go play on the PC, I'm bringing the laptop too... and the router. Bring your CDs! :p

And oh... don't forget your digital cams too..! Just a friendly reminder...

Can we change my oil? I'm near 6000 miles on Mobil 1 Synthetic :runs and hides: and it needs to be changed. And my right front sway bar endlink is broken so I need to fix that. Where can you get those endlinkss anyway? Mitsu dealer?

Oh, does anyone have any experiance with this shooting range near where the meet's taking place? Distances, certain weapon type or ammo restictions?
