Hey guys, I have an 01 eclipse gt 3.0 v6. Its just straight piped, and has a cold air intake. This is my daily driver so I can't go too crazy with it. What are some mods that I can do to get close to 300hp? also what I have read somewhere (i cant find it now) where changing pulley size can help. would it be larger or smaller? Im not trying to break my wallet on this build either.

Well.. You are in the Forced Induction section of the forum. So, essentially, you have found what it takes. If you want a simple answer, let's give you a number of $7,000, parts and labor, for a reliable build.

Sorry, i wasn't sure where to put this.. Well everyone knows a supercharger or turbocharger is going to make your car faster and have more hp. I was looking for specifics. such as headers(any hp gain with a change), maybe injectors, things like that. just some smaller basic things to get a little here, a little there and when it all adds up its like +30 or so. I guess what im trying to say is, what are some things i can do to where I will notice a difference when i drive it?

I was not refering to video games, thank you for your reply but im sure you understood what I was trying to say so you didn't have to reply like you did. I asked a simple question, a simple answer like " sorry man, but the most you could get out of the 3.0 with bolt ons is 20hp." that would have been fine with me.

No im totally cool dude, im just tired of reading people asking simple questions and all these "big dogs, premium mr. I paid for my membership for this website so I OWN it attitude" chiming in and giving smart remarks.

ok, so lets act like our age and start this over then................................ hey cody, what is the highest hp I can get my car to without forced induction, or nitrous?

I think what they are trying to tell you is, they aren't doing the work for you when its already there.

Now, if you couldn't find anything in the search thats another story but after five minutes of different searches I saw some rough answers to your question. Just gotta find them.

You could make 400fwhp NA, and anything in between. You'd spend more doing it NA then boosted... but you could do it. I'm not going to tell you how. :ninja2:

More realistically, if you're looking for NA glory you're looking at a 3.8 swap with a few extras on there and you'd be making it right and happy in the mid 200whp range.

alright well thank you for the useful information. I'll do some checking on that 3.8 around here. sorry to "judge" or whatever you want to call it, i just jumped to conclusions.

I think this may be over my head, it will probly be cheaper to sell my car and buy something already pretty quick. I love my car, but it takes a whole new engine to make it quick. I believe i may put her up for sale and get a sti, or a trans am.
