is there any difference in the fuel rails? i can get a good deal on a fuel rail from a 4g63t... although, no injectors, or anything included, jst the rail... i wanna know if the rails are the same.. if so, then theres no need to buy it, but if theyre different, what is it? im looking to be able to just swap the injectors into the 4g63t rail, and totally replace my current one... lemme know if thats possible.

probably not going to be able to swap the 2 different injectors types out i dont konw if size matters but you are moving from 240cc to 450cc injector sizes in that fuel rail. There will also be no significant gain with just swapping out the fuel rail but with other additions you might feel an improvement. I wouldnt recommend doing this unless you are pushing boost/bottle or soemthing of that nature.

No, it will not work. its backwards from our's. unless you really wish to re-route fuel lines etc...

The fuel regulators on the turbo'd eclipse in previous gens are the same as ours.

our stock fuel rails can handle the capacity to dump a large amount of fuel to the injectors. I am curious why you would choose to "upgrade"?

you can use the stock injectors off the 4G63T. They are 450cc's, and with longer fuel rail bolts, and new injector seals you can use them with your stock rail (which is all you really need to do). oh, and you will need to either wire in the injector "clips" from the 4g63T to your wiring for the injectors, because it will not connect directly to your stock "clips".

However, I wouldnt do this unless you have some type of FI or Nitrous.

I would be careful with "wiring" injectors too. It is easy to leave a small area of wire uncovered and an arc to occur blowing injector drivers ultimatly ending the life of your ECU. I would know alot about doing what im doing when dealing with electrical compnents or you are going to find out replacing them is expensive :noway: .

thanks for the help guys... i didnt know the info on our fuel rails, until somebody stated it... so what i thoguht would be "upgrading".. really wasnt. thanks guys! so i can install 440cc injectors onto my stock fuel rail and run them fine with the stock regulator?

yes you can run the 450cc's (the stockers from the 1st and 2nd gen's)

However you need to test the voltage on them, and make sure they read above 10 I believe it is. if they dont you will need to run the resistor pack of whatever car you get the injectors off

yeah, i was told impedence is an issue when using 1g/2g injectors... i never really looked into the fuel issue on turbo/fi cars... it plays a huge role, and i never knew it?

I dont know if its already been said, and I dont feel liek reading everyones posts.

Anyways, the 1G/2G fuel rails are completely different. IF you look at them you should see how they are different.

An EVO looks like it should work, but I dont think anyone has done it yet.
