i'd put a resonator on it if you dont already. and magnaflow makes just about the best sounding mufflers, i dont think you have much room to improve. jmho though

 

it may make alot of noise but i bet it isnt fast, consider an exhaust system, IMO

 

And I shall disagree with you. Lets ask ourselves something. What is the point of having an exhaust sytem? To assist in the removal of all exhaust gasses out of the combustion chamber during the exhaust cycle, correct? Alright! So, if that's the case, why wouldn't a really good header setup with a straight pipe exhaust system be more effective then another header setup with cats, resonator, and muffler? I bet you're thinking scavenging effect, right? Wrong. The whole point of the engineering of the headers is made to handle that effect before it even hits your post header piping. Learning is fun!

definitely get a resonator and a high flow cat. I just put a high flow on my the other day and it is still a little loud but not as loud as before. I have the megan headers along with a borla after the downpipe

 

Went thru same exact bs as you did. Get a cherry bomb resonator put on, and have that magnaflow muffler put on. It will sound nice n deep.

 

I just have the cat back magnaflow and megan racing headers, sounds amazing imo. no need for gutted cats and resonator delete

 

I had a Y-pipe and a resonator removed with dual race series Magnaflow mufflers and it sounded amazing on my 02 Spyder GT.
