well as i was driving down the road the clutch stopped working. i pumped it a few times and nothing so i had to play merry go round with red lights driving between 25 to 30 in second gear all the way home. when i got home i opened up the hood and check the clutch fluid and it was empty. walmart doesn't sell clutch fluid and well tomorrow i am going to pick some up some up. was wondering what would cause it to do this and is it just clutch fluid or am i going to need to replace my clutch or something. my car has little over 71,000 its a 03 eclipse gs its a 5 speed lol

Well the clutch master cylinder needs DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid, not anything fancy really. Inspect the lines, there's probably a leak somewhere
That's what it's called, slave cylinder
Probably some piston seal is bad in there. I would just get another one at a junkyard ($30-50) or you can rebuild it

I"M havin the same problem. it happened to me while i went on a beer run b4 the football game. next thing i know clutch has no feelin...i tried to refill only to realize mine was also leaking through the boot..mine isan 02 w/117000 miles....i:m gonna call around tommorrow to get one..
