Well since we almost always start to go off topic when we start talking in the Denver Area Meets Thread I decided to start a general Chit Chat thread. So lets try to keep general Chit Chat in this thread that way no one can get :flamed:. So lets talk it up Colorado:twothumb:

Well I was messing around on Photo Bucket Today and I decided to make a slideshow let me know what you think.

<div style="width: 480px; text-align: center;"><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://w15.photobucket.com/pbwidget.swf?pbwurl=http://w15.photobucket.com/albums/a355/Mitsuboy1102/Club3g/1163106758.pbw" height="360" width="480"></embed><a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://pic.photobucket.com/getyourown.gif" style="border-width: 0;" vspace="1"></a></div>

Finally got some pics of your new tails online! :woot:

I'm digging those last two I took with the sunset..... also, now your "general chit-chat" page is gonna suck this computer's CPU cycles.
Thanks to that slideshow... :happysad:

.... it'd be a good idea, if you don't want anybody tracking you down to remove that sweet little HU you've got.

So...... looks like it's just you and me in the Southwest at the moment, eh Bernie? :p
Think I should annoy the locals with some more PMs? ;)
.....some of them haven't logged on in quite some time, though. :happysad:

You'd better have some serious mods ready to go if you're going to take me head-on. :p

I'm not sure how you plan to "upstage" Doric's GTO with an Evo, though, bro...
....handling, perhaps?
Precious few parts of my car are still stock - especially the suspension/brakes. I used to road-race the GTO at 2Creek when it was stock. I have no doubts that an EVO with a good driver would still outhandle it, but I'd give 'er hell.

Here are the brakes, barely fitting behind 18" wheels:

Anyway, the EVO is a helluva car. I also Admin Colorado DSM. If you end up with an EVO, 3S or DSM, please feel free to stop by. :yesway:

That would be pretty sweet, Justin! :bigthumb: ... just don't get in over your head!
http://www.evolutionm.net/ <---A good resource for Evo-related discussions, parts, etc. I just joined about a week ago. Hopefully, I can gain more knowledge about compatibility with my 4g64! :D (I'd like to build and turbo my GS eventually)

That's one hell of a loan!!

Just don't tell the Evo guys you're joining their ranks at only 18.... I'm sure they'll tell you it's too much car for a kid to handle.
(for that matter... a 3000GT is a hell of a lot of car, too)

Bernie, quit moving your photobucket pics around, foo! You're breaking all the links and slowing this old 'puter down when they reload!! :fawk2:

I hear ya. I wish I was in your position... or just "free and clear" from monthly payments. That'd be nice!

Hey, you weren't looking at that one on Craigslist, were you?

I'm baaaack. Sorry guys. I've been buying stuff for my new place like mad so I've been holding off on un-needed purchases like internet, cable, etc. Who knew stuff like curtains were so damn expensive! Anyway, I figured this would be a good thread to hop back in on. As for me, no recent car mods and none planned for a while. Re-gapped the spark plugs and reset the RIPP grey box. I've been running a bit better but not perfect yet. Greg, I may yet still need your help.

Lucas: I still have the intake in my garage. I'll keep it until you can wrangle up a few bucks. No hurry. Let me know if you don't want it so I can put it up on the for sale forum.

SethVicous: About you puchasing an Evo. I've been toying with the idea of looking into a second car...one being an Evo. One thing to check out is how much your insurance is going to skyrocket. I'm 25 and mine was going to just about double over my current rate with a 2001 GS. I'd definately purchase from a private party versus a dealership. When I was looking around, Quality Mitsubishi almost made me sick. They are grossly overpriced and their staff of slime ball sales men are amazingly underknowledged. If you're set on getting one and can hold off, I've noticed that a lot more Evos, STIs, etc are up for grabs in the spring and summer. Not sure why but when I was out in Cali just recently, there were a TON of them for sale. My guess is that area of the country had a lot of sales. If you need the name of someone to ship your car, let me know. I used the guy who ships all of H M Brown's cars and he was great. No problems and a resonable price.

EDIT: Seth, one more thing. A cheaper alternative to a STI is a basic WRX with a Cobb stage 1 or stage 2 kit. You can pick up a good conditioned 2002 WRX for ~15k-16k. The Cobb set plus a 3" exhaust (required for best hp/torque gains) will set you back about 2k. Insurance will still see a WRX but you'll have the hp/torque of a STI or EVO. http://www.cobbtuning.com/products/?id=2315 check Check out that site. Pretty badass. PS They recently added a 'coming soon' section for Evos.

There goes the neighborhood...

If you need EManage help, I have a buddy who has a boosted AWD storm and knows the program inside and out.

Congrats on the new purchase! You'll be beating us SDSers and you'll do it with fewer misfire. Stupid RIPP. :(
