Ass kissers and haters need to stay out of these threads as they add no value. Unless you have something applicable to add, there is no reason to be posting at all. The original poster is just reporting his experience and its only between him and the seller.
With that said, here is my latest transaction with Dave. And I'm just reporting as it is.
I contacted Dave about buying some dual piston calipers sometime in June. I had never bought anything from him but have sold him something in the past and it went rather well. I recognize Dave as a well respected seller in our community and didn't have a problem spending my money with him.
Around that time I had read several threads about people complaining about his lack of communication and slow shipping. It was said that he was really busy around the house which I understand. So before I sent him the money I told him that I realized he was busy but just let me know when it would be a good time for him to ship out the calipers for me and I would send him the money. He assured me that he had sets ready to go so I sent him a paypal on July 1st (Sunday). He confirmed that he got it and that was the last I heard from him.
Time went by and I came across
this thread. Consequently I wondered where the calipers were and if he even shipped them. I realize that I payed him on a Sunday and that it was around the holiday so I took that into consideration. But I decided to inquire about my purchase on the 14th and again on the 17th (yesterday) since it was afterall, two weeks later and didn't have a tracking number.
Dave got back to me this morning. He sent the package today (18th) and gave me a tracking number. He was shipping a car out all last week which caused a shipping delay and apologized for it.
Bottom line: I don't think Dave is a bad seller but at the same time not outstanding either. I realize he's a busy guy but I tried to avoid these shipping delays before I payed by letting him getting it ready to ship since I am aware he has other things going on. He assured me that he had sets ready to go and I payed him. He didn't ship them until over 2 weeks after I payed and didn't tell me about the situation until now. He goofed and apologized for it. It just would have been nice and the right thing to let me know earlier about the shipping delay. Two weeks is plenty of time I think to send a quick pm and let me know. It seem from a lot of the complaints I read about him, a lot of confusion could be avoided if he would communicate earlier and I tend to agree.
