UPDATE: 20's are back on! NO MORE UGLY WINTER WHEELS!

Also, I came to a decision... until I can come up with money to buy a set of lightweight 19's, (Either Gramlight 57s-pro's or Volk GT-F) I am going to keep these wheels

The next mods on my list, however, are finishing off my kit (IMPUL sides, Veilside Rear) and some taillight overlays.

These were just some pics after a wash and putting the wheels back on. Soon to come... full detail.

So this is what I started out with as my first car. A 2000 GT Fed Spec Sporty.
Image

Basically your run of the mill GT with 87,000 on it.

It eventually became a decent car with a couple easy mods on it.
http://www.club3g.com/forum/members-rides/63393-2000-gt-fed-spec.html
Mod List:
Greddy Evo II
Aem Intake
Dual Halo headlights painted flat black
HID's
clear corners
KYB GR-2's
Tein S-Tech's

We took it into a mechanic because I was having some idling issues and it ended up being a ton of cash due to the timing belt, water pump, distributor rotor and cap and a whole bunch of other crap totaling up to $2300. Not worth it on a car I got for $7500 that now had 101k on it.

So I went car shopping today. To make a long story short I got this and went and picked up some wheels locally.

2004 Ivory Pearl G35 6MT w/ 24,000k on it for $25,000

Also, it is going in next week for the chips and scratches in the front bumper to be painted for free by the dealer. The dub 20" sign is coming off ASAP too.

UPDATE:
I just got the rock chips taken care of and a couple other things. It looks a LOT cleaner now.
Still the same mods.
Plate is gone, Paint is perfect, MW symbol is gone, and DUB emblems are gone.

I will do that after I get it back from the dealership after getting all the little dings and stuff fixed and the 20" emblems removed.

As for everyone else, thanks for the kind words! It means a whole lot.

Got $4000 from carmax for it. I just walked in, they appraised and offered. So the car is gone. I will have a few things up for sale in the morning when I can get pictures up.

Things I will have for sale:
6000K H1 HID's
Clear Corners with bulbs
Alpine Head Unit

Thanks man! Well, the suspension rides like a dream and still hugs the road like my 3g did with lowered suspension. Car overall feels a lot better honestly.

 lose the sticker and fix the plate though
The sticker stays for now because its a dealer sticker but the 20" emblem is coming off and thats only a temp spot for the plate.

dude! sweet! 2 little things though! either switch up the front rims for 19's or the back for 21's.... AND dude, seriously. its no cadi or lexus or anything of the sort dont put badges on the side of the car.. its a G35.

The wheels are staying because I just bought them and I think they are sweet as hell. They are staggered in the fact that the rear is wider then the front but I like a nice even drop and a very clean look and these seem to do it.

As for the badging, it was on the car when I got it from the dealer. They are going to take that off, fix the little rock chips, and a couple other things. So no big deal.

Thanks, man! I like it a whole lot. A lot different from the eclipse for sure. Ill more then likely show up to some meets with this one so I'll hope to see you there.

great car, I want that next shit, lol. oh and please don't put a CF hood on it.
Thanks, bud! I definitely won't put any kind of cf hood on it. Other then a possible few little exterior accents (black corners, etc.), the exterior will stay stock. I think it looks amazing the way it is and it is completely clean.

Main focus for this car will be mostly performance and not much at that. The car will stay stock for a little while performance-wise, however.

how the hell does a 18 year old afford that car? thank your mommy and daddy for it
To make a long story short, I went to a community college around here so I had a little extra cash saved up because of that and with a little from the money I worked for this summer and help from the parents I ended up with this.

So I did pay for over half of it.

Thanks.

Car goes in Tuesday for the front and rear bumper repainting, side emblem removal, and complete detail. New pics are in order as soon as I get the car back.

Also, front plate is coming off. I'm going to take my chances. May be stupid to some people, however, the way it is now it ruins the look of the front end, I don't want ANY holes drilled in the front, and it just looks cleaner without it.

Thanks!

God your car is hot, I love the new pics.

Most 18 yr old kids would kill for an Eclipse GT, but a f***in G35 Coupe sitting on 20" black wheels like that, wow, all I have to say is consider yourself one lucky mofo. Most guys don't get to own a car half that nice their entire lifetime.

I'm 18 also and sold the RS 4 months ago. Currently driving the family beater while I save up for the next car. Parents want me to pay it in full and also buy new, not used (we've had some bad experiences buying used) so I won't have to deal with monthly payments while in college, so I'm looking in the 15 to 17K range right now. Prolly end up with a tC, parents are Toyota freaks and the car has decent bang for the buck.

Enough about me though, like I said mad props for the car, I can only dream...
You know.... I didn't have the best luck with used either (i.e. the reason we got rid of my eclipse was because we would have had about 2k worth of repairs on a car we paid 7k for.... not worth it)

When we went car shopping I was definitely looking at new cars. In fact, I almost ended up getting a WRX or Civic SI.... I'm glad I got this instead.

Yes, the G is used, 24k miles, existing warantee and we extended that another 3 years. We paid 25k for all that. Not to mention its in near perfect condition.

loven the new car. Exactly what i want
:twothumb: They will be going down in price in the next few years, FOR SURE. It is definitely within reach if you end up selling the clipser at some point.

That is gorgeous.:inlove: Those rims look fucking hot on that car. Sweet ride man.:twothumb:
:bigthumb: Thanks man! Yeah I'm completely happy with the way this thing looks. I honestly think the wheels set things off. I was never really into the whole "black wheel on a light car" thing because they were all over. But if you get the right wheel, I can sure as hell see why people do it.

Actually, the headroom isn't TERRIBLE. It could be worse. The actual backseat room is AMAZING compared to the 3g.... I mean I actually have on.... rather then a storage container...
