So I didn't even know that a "sport exhaust tip" was available for the car when I bought it. Or rather, I didn't know how grungy the stock tip was going to get--it looks like shit. If you want the chrome shiny one, you have to pay.

The dealership just quoted me $418.50 for the fucking part. Yeah, that's for a fucking exhaust tip. And that's with the Porsche Club of America discount, which I don't know if he really meant to do for me--the list price is $465!

The sport tip would've cost $340 had I bought it on the car, but that's still a WTF price!!

There seems to be a good 33% markup on all the parts, which sucks because I had no idea that some of them existed. For instance, there's a sport steering wheel with a slightly smaller diameter and a contoured grip that's just $250 on the "Build your Porsche" site. It's listed in the INTERIOR LEATHER section of the website, rather than the INTERIOR section. That's fucked up.

I'm sure it'd cost near four digits to have that installed. Don't get me started on the fact that I'm kind of wishing I installed the nav system, which was about $2600... I looked up the parts and they're like $4000.....

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck me.

Already got it, getting pissed at myself by the day. I should've sprung for the following options:

Full leather interior (just because it's soooo snazzy)
Chrome tip
Sport steering wheel
PCM (nav system)

Okay, so yeah, that would've bumped up the price, uh... quite a bit.. which is what I was trying to avoid....but.... but.... :mecry: :lol:

Okay, at least the tip and the steering wheel, HAD I FUCKING KNOWN ABOUT IT.

thanks, yeah the pictures are already up and online.

But, as you can see, I'm a fucking addict. I've been looking left and right to find an excuse to spend money on the car.

Yeah, I heard not only are porsches expensive to purchase, but really expensive to maintain (let alone mod).

case in point, I was reading Car and Driver and they said the oil change and first maintenance cycle cost somewhere near 7 grand.. :eek:

Well not nearly that much but yes, the dealerships charge some crazy prices for maintenance. I think somewhere in the neighborhood of one to two grand for a 40,000 mile maintenance. I also heard $1400 for new brakes/rotors service being bandied about. Fucking nuts.

And yes, we're just talking about a fucking exhaust tip! But seriously it's not just about blinging it out--it's about how ugly the stock tip gets. It's all brown and has the appearance that the exhaust has been dripping out of it as there's a big brown "water stain" drooling out of it. Unless one of you have been fucking my tailpipe after buttsex with [insert Club3G member name here]. :mad: Bitches!!!!
