How many miles per full tank do you get?
i get 250-300 (depends on how many times i go fast ;) )

I have a '00 Fed spec GT with a 5-speed. On the stock rims and tires I got a little over 25mpg. The needle would be on E and the gas light would come on about 320 miles, but it would only take about 12-13 gallons when I filled up.

I now have Kosei K1 racing rims in 17x7, and Kumho Ecsta MX tires in 225/45. Although I got a 5lbs reduction in unsprung wheel weight, the extra drag of the wider tires has me down to about 22.5mpg

And the gas milage thread has been done many times before.

I should add that I have about 33K on the car. I live in Hawaii, so it is always hot and the A/C is pretty much always on.

Well I just recently tested my milage as I am nearly at the 70,000 mile mark and in need of my 60,000 tuneup, just don't have the $500, but freeway driving average speed of 70mph I got 400 miles when the gas light came on. city driving I got just under 320 miles. I am getting 24-30 mpg. 2001 cali spec sporty.

I've got an '01 GT (Cali spec) 5-sp. Up until a couple of months ago, I could go 320 miles and I would have exactly 1/4 of a tank (The needle was right on the line). Now I'm lucky if I get 300 miles before the needle is on the 1/4 of a tank line. Hot weather maybe? :dunno:

Not to sound like an idiot or noob but how the hell do I know exactly what kind of mileage im getting? You guys are getting some pretty accurate readings like 22.5. Should I just look at the mileage i have on my car when i fill it up to the top and then when i hit the gas light should i just take the 2 numbers and subtract them or something?

It's pretty easy. You take the number of gallons you put in the tank and divide that into the mileage. For example, if the pump says you put in 13 gallons and your odometer says you've gone 300 miles since your last fillup then your MPG would be 300/13 = 23.08. In theory you can do this whenever you want, 3/4 tank, 1/2 tank, 5/23 tank; but you get the most accurate figures when you're close to "E."

HTH!
