I just returned home to my 3G, from a tour in Iraq. I have been here 3 months and the car has been running perfectly up until now. While I was gone my brother would take my car out of storage and drive it as not to just have the car fluid setting and did a whole fluids flush in June of last year. A few days ago, I noticed I lightly muffled knocking sound that I could hear from inside the car. When I would cold start the car, the noise would not be there. As soon as the motor began to warm up, I would begin to hear the knocking. I reved the engine up a few K RPM and the knocking (kind of cranking sound) seems to be in sync with the RPM. Can anyone give me an idea of what this can be? Im due to re-deploy in a few weeks and I want to know if its something I can fix at home, as not to have my car at a mechanic shop while I am away. Any help would be grateful.
