Nice. Your car set up is similar to mine (or what will be mine in the end): Ripp first gen. headers, Invidia Cat Back, I have a Stage I SDS with the Draw-Thru Kit, I have a BRAT (just for the Baro code), and I'm ordering a ZT-2. The major difference will be I plan on using the Mynes reflash for the tune.

-Who did your ZT-2 install of the EGT probe and AFR wide band bung?

-What did you use for power tap for ZT-2 and the Gauges? Side door fuse box or the main fuse box in the engine bay?

I certainly learn from these types of posts. Thanks.
hey rep, I noticed you said you got SDS Stage 1? Can you please let me know how it runs on stock internals??

Alcovard, you are my hero man. This was one GREAT read and I learned quite a bit. This actually makes me less nervous about doing something like this. Very very nice. can't wait to see pictures and you should get some videos of the car so I can hear that exhaust/sc whine. Congrats on the install and the whole new car.

rep, so you honestly think we could run a stage 1 sds safely on our internals? Cause I am still keeping my options open. Either way, I am aiming for pretty good bit of HP and I am just going to go with the one that is more feasible. Keep me updated bro.

alright awesome. Because I am still very well weighing this Stage 1 SDS package. What setup do you recommend I run? It has come to my attention that they only sell the tuner kit now. So what should I purchase? I was thinking maybe the tuner kit and whatever fuel upgrades I need to do and then the mynes reflash. My question is, this. ok. If i wanted to do the mynes reflash, wouldn't I have to install the black box/brat to get the car to the shop and then would they pull the blackbox/brat and then run the mynes reflash?? I am still kinda cloudy on understanding everything behind the mynes reflash. and I agree man, I think stage 1 sds at 6 psi will be reliable and won't break anything with a good tune. I hope I can pull this off.

I have a GT Spyder but it has the gts motor.

and Rep, I didn't know they was updating their site, I thought they was ONLY selling the tuner kits now. Thanks for letting me know. As for what I should get....if I was to get the full stage 1 kit, would I need to get the cable Mynes sell and then scrap the black box/brat thing all together and have them tune it with the mines or should I just run the black box with BRAT?? Also, before I was to get it to a shop to have it tuned, I would have to run the black box with BRAT until then, correct? And also, how can you have it dyno tuned, but you have to go through the break in period? Little confused there.

Thank you so much for the help. I understood everything that came with the RIPP kit, I was just wondering if the Black Box and the BRAT will be sufficient to run my car reliably and nicely. I do not know enough or know anyone that has alot of experience with tuning. I would feel much more confident by wiring in the black box and plugging up the BRAT. I think I may just stick with that. The DYI tune just worries me so much and worries me about finding the right shop that won't mess up my car. But I researched last night, and from all the old posts I have read, I should be safe running the 6 PSI pully (Stage 1) on my stock internals. I think I may just go with that and call it a day.

Which exhaust/header set up do you have??

And yes, any more updates acol? I am dying to see how this thing is doing.

Wow, that was a great read. When you say there are cold start problems, what do you mean? Do you mean it just like bogs up and down in the rpm's until warm or that the car won't start at all? If its the bogging up and down thing, then I can deal with that. My car n/a does that every now and again. I have a remote start kit sitting here waiting to be installed, and in the winter, i can turn it on and let it warm before i head out to go to class or whatever. Thanks for updating us man, that was a great read. I am really excited and I am saving my money now for whatever I decide, whether it be the bolt-on route or the s/c route.

Here was another question I needed answered. What do you do about the 02 sensors? Do you just plug them back in or do you get 02 sims or what?? I was confused by that part. I want to do my plugs/wires, gauges, and headers first. I am trying to figure if I need to mod my headers for the 02 sensors or what ever.

ok, so if i get headers, the front 02's will just screw into the headers? And then for the rear ones, I get the anti-foulers like in that thread and then they just screw in the holes for the 02's on the headers?? that is all I need to not throw codes? How exactly does that work? Because headers gets rid of your car, how will the car not still throw a code? Also, will I have to have any additional bungs welded on? I plan to go with RPW street series short tube. Thanks for the help rep, that was a cool read.
