Well guys i will be departing from my 3g very soon and am in the shopping mood for a new car. Basically what i want is reliabilty and also not to pricey and good looks, i know it sounds like alot but i just cant make up my mind. Its also gonna be a lease since am leaving the tuning aside for a bit eventually ill end up with a beater some how. If you guys have any ideas in mind???

Gee, that's not an extremely vague question... :ugh:

If your only criteria is that it be around $25k, you could buy any car from a Chevy Cobalt to a Dodge Caravan to a used Lancer Evo. Narrow it down a little as far as what you're chiefly considering as far as vehicle type (reliable and looks good are not specific enough).

Dude I dont know! First of all youve prolly had your eclipse for a while or at least you should only owe 10k or less and it prolly has 70-80k. Now you want to go out and spend 25k on something newer or brandnew. Thats fine and dandy but If I were you I would take that extra 15k and put 8-10k into the eclipse (the motor preferably) and buy a nice reliable used car for around 5-7k. Just my :twocent:

Well, i like the inputs but i only owe about 6,000 on the eclipse also it has a shit load of mile like 108k by the time i finish paying it off it will have about 200k. I dont even know if it will last that much, lol, anyways am just sick and tired of dumping money in it i rather have a new car and lease the sucker and worry about extra miles or just plain oil changes.

with that many miles, leasing is a bad idea. You'll end up leasing the thing for 3yrs and have too many miles on it and have to buy it and pay for another 5yrs on a 2yr old car with 100k+ miles on it.

Buy a $500 beater to put the miles on if you're going to go the lease route.

I've always been under the inclination that the Eclipse is pretty reliable IMHO.
:agreed: I've had mine for 5 years, without any problems. I haven't even had a flat tire(knock on wood) I did have two accidents :twitch:

I would rather not ever have any more car payments. Cash purchase FTW
I just paid my 3G off last Friday :woot: This POS is mine :woot:

My Eclipse has a couple thousand dollars left on it. But I did purchase my MR2 Turbo and my Galant GTZ outright with cash. I actually bought the Galant so I would not have to pay anymore car payments on the Neon. The Neon was worth more than I owed on it, so I just Carmax'd it off. As long as the interior on the GTZ was superb I had the rest of the car on lock ;)
