Hey everyone, I just became a first time owner of a 3g, and have been looking forward to owning one for years, literally. I've saved up everything I've made over the summer breaks from college and got my dream car.

I got it on ebay for an amazing price, which worried me a little, as it turns out there isnt a thing wrong with this baby, other than a slight chip in the hood and a need for some new tires.

I'm picking it up on friday and cant wait! I... also cant drive a stick shift yet, but I'll figure it out... right?!

Heres some pics, anything you could give me in pointers on for improving performance or looks would be much appreciated. I'm iffy about the hood and headlights, but kinda want to keep it so everyone on the road knows its me when I drive by.

Welcome, not the best deal you could have gotten but none the less good. And driving a stick just takes practice. Should take about a week to get it down. And than another 6 monthes to master it.

Happy modding!

Nice.:yesway: Just need to lower and get some 18's with some new rubber. Black with a polished look would go good with the silver and would accent the hood and projectors.:twothumb:

Thats exactly what I plan to do, good idea.

Thanks for the input so far guys, and XwP1ayawX, I agree. The carbon dash is really high quailtiy... I just hate carbon dash's. Thinking of putting a polished aluminum dash kit in instead.

Thanks for the input guys, I just got back from driving it home. It was 6 hours of pure enjoyment.

The only car I have ever driven is my 92 honda accord automatic I bought with lawn mowing money when I was 16. This has double the hp, and x100 quality. I honestly didnt know cars were that comfortable, or that responsive.

Endless amounts of pointless pictures to ensue.. after I finally get to go to sleep.

I'm definatly going to keep the hood and the headlights, its raining out now but tommarow I'll take some better pics, the car looks pretty good with what its currently got.

00SilverRS - Thanks for not bidding, Ive been looking for a good eclipse forever, it would have prolonged the search even further.

Kurtz - I'll show in the pics, i took a close look and theres alot of em actually. Impossible to see them unless your within arms reach of them, but ugly chips none the less.

Looks nice. I bought an old beater VW convertible a few years ago just to sample the convertible experience and to learn how to drive a stick. Both are great, although the Spyder I just got isn't a stick. It took me a loooong afternoon to make it not stall - although I found out a couple months later that the clutch was on its last legs anyway. Good practice is to go to a parking lot and make it go from a stop WITHOUT touching the gas. This will help you learn the catch point of the clutch. If you can go from a stop, you have learned the hardest thing about driving a stick. Everything else just falls into place after.

Nice pick up and I hope you enjoy it.I love the CF Hood I want to get one as soon as my pockets permit it again. But you need to lower it and get some new rims if you are into performance I say stick with 17 but thats me.IF you are into looks get 18-19.But for sure you have to get it lowered and new tails on it some TYC Black tails or CF TYC tails would look good on it.:twothumb: Welcome to the boards.

I've never liked the dark blue on black thing they do with the interior(don't know what models have them..mine has the cloth interior). Blue on Black is a cardinal sin. It's like wearing a brown belt with black shoes, just don't do it! other than that I like the car
