I have an 01 Eclipse GT.

I right now am quite broke being I just bought this car last week. So I don't have enough $$$ to buy some rims. I was looking for someone that was trying to get rid of their stock rims and tires. So I can purchase them instead of dropping 800 on rims. I also then would want to attempt to paint my rims i currently have.

( that's why i want to buy someone's stock wheels in case I fuck up mine. Just to be able to throw on someones stock rims on my car till I fix my fucked up rims.)

I have read many forums and watch a lot of videos on how to paint my own rims. Has anyone ever tried to theirs? Do you have pictures.
My friend said just have a body shop paint them for me but I figured they would rip me off bad!!!! I Want Black Rims with a Chrome Lip, but if im painting them myself I could settle for ALL black rims.

You want a black wheel with a chrome rim.

A rim is the outermost portion of a wheel. Then you have spokes and a hub. Stop throwing around RIM so damn much. I came into this thread thinking you where asking how to paint the rim of a wheel, which would mean everything would be masked off and only the rim is painted.

I'm all for noob razzing but holy fuck, lets relax a little bit. I'm getting tired of deleting posts in this section.

OP, there are numerous write-ups here on how people have painted their wheels. My suggestion however would be to have them professionally powdercoated...the results will be much better, and it will last much longer.
