Ask a friend to drive you to a dealership, ask the dealer to let you test drive the G6. Take the car home pop the vents see if they fit then drive the car back.

 

A friend of mine has a G6, I'll try to catch him before he leaves for the weekend.

I'm pretty sure not. the vents on the G6 are quite a bit bigger than the eclipse's. my parents have a G6, i have the eclipse.

Yeah, they're of a similar style... but not the same size. I noticed the similarities as well when I rented a brand new G6 a couple years back.

 

i saw this post when i was on break at work. so when i got back on the clock i was armor-alling a G6 and asked him if i could pop one out and check, he let me.

but it wont fit, its about 3/4" too big. nice idea, but there is probably an easy way to get the same effect.

 

is there an easier way than buying an entire dash trim kit and throwing out all the other pieces?

 

I couldn't find him, but I found another G6 in the parking lot and they really do look a lot bigger.

 

What exactly are you trying to achieve?? These vents look nearly the same as the 3G vents.. is it the chromy trim piece aroun the outter edge? If so, why don't you just buy a trim kit for your vents for the Eclipse rather than trying to figure out a way to re-engineer your entire dash.

These should fit, in theory. I measured out our AC vents and they are about the same diameter wise, which is 2.5". But at $21.95 a pop, and seeing as how there are 5 that we need for our interior, I hardly think its worth it. The easy solution is to buy a dash trim kit, like everybody else has stated.

trim kit, be a cheapass ricer and use chrome door guard, or do nothing and keep your interior tasteful.

 

i wish there was a way to order dash trim kit but instead of the whole thing, just choose your separate peices.

 

you could probably split it with someone, or just sell your leftover pieces here :dunno:
