I think they goofed up. Check out the profile shot--the roofline is really fucked-up. :(

Well, I'll have to wait until I see it in person I guess. Also, i find it hard to pay $8000 more for 15 horsepower and a non-convertible. Traditionally one has to pay MORE for a convertible, right? This seems totally backwards.

Yeah, guys over at the Rennteam forum (which you have to register at to see attachments... :noway: ) are divided on the issue. Some hate it (like me) others love the car outright.

i think they goofed up on the air inlets too--made 'em look like a Tiburon. And the placement of the fog lights... well, rather 4G, if you know what I mean.

Here's the rennteam thread with all the pictures, but yeah, you have to register:

[random weird type comment that seems to appear in the threads like this] I would rather have the Tiburon you could put a turbo on it and be a lot faster and with the money you saved you could buy a STi [/random weird type comment that seems to appear in the threads like this]

$8000 more than the Boxster S? Doesn't that put it within $10k of a base rear-drive 911 Carrera? As for the styling, I do like it outside of the Lancer-Evo-IX-esque foglights and, yeah, that side profile's roofline is too reminiscent of a VW Beetle.

yep. any yellow caliper on a porsche is the ceramic brakes. they WERE $10K and optional on everything except the GT2. they are standard on that. I've only seen them on 3 cars in person ever. two were tubo 911s one was the GT2.
The ceramic brakes were also standard on the GT3, if I remember correctly.
